Cirepil BLUE Stripless Hard Wax Tin 14.11oz / 400g

As long as you have clean, dry arm pits and let the hair grow out a bit before waxing this stuff will allow you to rip all of the hair out with out hurting your skin. Yes it hurts A LOT to rip all of your armpit hair out in one go, but if that is what you want to do this product will get the job done. It really sticks to the hair as long as it goes on warm and you let it cool enough, but not too much, before ripping off. It is easy to figure out how cool to let it get. It is an easy do it your self at home deal (even if you have never waxed) that makes you look like you go to the salon. Also, it only hurts during and for about 10 seconds afterwards, there is no lasting pain after using this wax to rip your hair out. It only takes a little bit of the wax to do both arm pits. You could probably wax twenty times with one can - a bargain even after you but the wax melter. You need a lot of was to do both legs, I would guess a quarter to half a can for both legs. That is still a bargain compared to going to the salon. I have used other types of wax and got many ingrown hairs as a result. I have not gotten any ingrown hairs using this wax. I think it is because it does not stick to your skin. I never have bleeding hair follicles with this wax like I had with other types of wax. It is very gentle on the skin as long as it is not too hot when you apply it - too hot makes a bit of a burn. Also, this is not a wax like candle wax or sugar wax, it is more like a had plastic that melts into a thick syrup. When the melted stuff has fallen on my floor and counter it hardens and peels off with no mess.

I'm giving this a 5 star rating although it really deserves a 4.5 (but that's not an option) I am pretty old to the waxing game (I wax myself and my VERY close friends). The first heating of the wax took about 30 minutes which was normal. I've read many of the prior reviews; good and bad. Things I noticed as I waxed compared to what reviewers wrote. It left a blue color on the skin: False. I have no blue residue at all on my skin. I prepped and cleaned up with some tea tree oil and it left everything nice. Another thing I noticed on a poor review was that "you have to apply so much in order to rip it off" well yes.. There's a certain thickness for hard wax to work at it's best BUT that is a known quality of hard wax NOT this wax. Also some comments about the smell. It smells like wax. Totally tolerable I actually forgot about it almost instantly. Hard wax is not for everyone, waxing yourself in general is not for everyone so if you can't handle the subtle wax smell... Don't wax. My own personal CON to this wax: my skin was very red for over an hour after waxing. (This is where the half of a star deduction comes from) I have been waxing myself for a very long time and I do have sensitive skin but never had this much redness before. I can definitely live with it. I've tried " clean and easy hard wax acai berry" good smell, EXTREMELY stringy, decent hair removal. 3 stars. Another wax I have tried is "Satin Smooth Calendula Gold Hard Wax" also a 3 star wax. Smell was not the best but tolerable, decent hair removal, awkward cream color. And last but not least the classic "GIGI Brazilian Body Hard Wax" I'll give this one a 4 because it was the first wax I used and it's a pretty safe and classic beginner wax. Smell is not important wax removal isn't bad. NONE of these waxes though come even close to the hair removal capabilities of Cirepil Blue Wax. I am a very thick haired Italian and this removed my hair with 1 application. Not once did I have to go over a spot for a second time. It was amazing. Yes hard wax used a lot in order to remove but I used so much less wax only applying over each spot once that it made it worth it. So because I have tried a few different waxes this is the one to use!

Far better than the cheap Bead was you buy in bags. Will never go back. Gets many more hairs than the cheap competition! Cerepil BLUE is amazing, and recently bought their CASHMERE variety, and will only buy the BLUE (can find my review of that product on that page for a comparison). I would give Cerepil BLUE 6 stars if it was an option! Cerepil BLUE is now my only choice for wax beads. I am mid-40's and along with age-related new whiskers silver or dark, I get a fine layer of "baby fine" hair that is blond; I wax often (once a week) and this product does a great job getting them at their early grow out stage, especially when I do it on my morning face BEFORE a face wash! Stop paying for cheap wax beads! Cerepil wax beads are amazing in BLUE! I've been using wax beads for >5yrs (as a cost saver over the salon), and initially bought various brands solely looking at the price. Let me tell you not all BLUE wax beads are created equally! I never felt that they did as good as the salon however, at getting it all - especially the less course hairs that were just emerging. Then I read the reviews and decided to give Cerepil BLUE a chance (the reviews are stellar). WOW - the difference is undeniable! Totally worth the price, especially considering that you won't be red afterwards if you only have to do it once (very few redos - ever! The rare redo is usually because I try to wax 1-2 days early; once a week is my sweet spot). The cheap blue wax beads are hard when ready, and the Cerepil BLUE is semi-pliable, which seems to makes a huge difference. My first time I was unsure if it was ready. BUT I highly recommend following instructions not to do this on a freshly washed face. Another tip, have your hairdryer handy! I use the cold air setting and it apply wax to all of the areas then do a quick 20 second blow dry and 'voila!' no waiting - it's ready to pull off! You're welcome - you'll thank me later - huge time saver! :) By doing it on a clean face there is no protective layer of oil built up on your skin. That layer almost eliminates all redness after a waxing, and actually gets all of the hair BETTER because it's only adhering to the hair and not the skin cells. I find my best waxes are first thing in the morning (I typically wash my face at bedtime), and there is no tugging sensation on my skin (eyebrow area - zero redness/pink - it's miraculous). In fact sometimes I remove it and think immediately, "Oh darn that didn't get enough," - and actually it's the best removal ever because of only pulling away my hair - magical! I have at times however washed my face and realized I was overdue for a wax and gone ahead to do it. It still works, but misses more of the fine baby hairs if face is too clean. That being said, Cerepil BLUE still is far worth the price difference than other bargain wax beads, simply because of less redness and I have less to tweeze, and rarely need to have a redo on the same area twice! BIG time saver, and if you're doing an area twice with the cheap stuff, are you saving any money, actually? I was not compensated for this review.

First, I'm not a professional but I do wax my nethers completely and regularly. I usually buy the regular gold hard wax but I decided to try this after noting so many pros use a blue wax in their tutorials. This wax seems to cool much quicker which means you have to move it quickly or it will tug. That said the wax seems to be more effective and less brittle once it cools. I was happy that this one didn't have a crazy fragrance. I worry about perfumes and stuff considering the sensitive area I'm using it. I will say I rarely had any upset bumps after waxing with the yellow hard wax but with this one my sensitive areas seemed irritated and bumpy after. (This may vary for you as my skin in general is sensitive to artificial fragrances and some chemicals in products) The bumps eventually went away but my "stuff" looked pretty grouchy afterwards and for a few hours. Overall I think i prefer this wax. It was easier to handle, less spider webby strings, quicker to cool, very effective as far as the hair it grabbed. Would recommend.

I had my first Brazilian professionally done at least 6 years ago and vowed I would never to do it again. Years of using depilatory creams and shaving almost daily just started getting to me. Then randomly, one day I decided "Hey, why don't you give yourself a Brazilian? You do your eyebrows regularly, it can't be that much worse." So, after watching several how-to DIY Brazilian videos on YouTube, I mustered up the courage and went to my local beauty supply store and purchased a very popular, off-the-shelf brand of microwaveable hard wax and set to work after popping two Advil and psyching myself up. I didn't last 10 minutes before I called it quits and cut the remaining "hard wax" out of my hair and lady parts, jumped in the shower and shaved the rest because I wasn't fond of the random bald patches look I had going on. Determined, I started doing more research and realized purchasing the product I did was my first mistake. I then came across a very thorough video of a self-Brazilian wax and noted in the comments that the creator was using a blue hard wax that looked like a shimmery jelly. It was Cirepil Blue. Without a second thought, I hopped online and placed an order through Amazon. Item arrived in two days with regular shipping and all I had to do was wait the alloted 3 weeks for the hair to grow back in. In the meantime I went it and bought a professional wax heater -- no more microwaveable anything for me again! When that time came, I prepared my materials and got to work. I was immediately prepared to have a repeat of previous self disaster with tiny screams, bleeding, and sore, tender parts but with that first wax piece laid down and then subsequently pulled off, I was so shocked. HAPPILY SHOCKED! The pain seemed to go from a 10 (being the most painful) to a mere 3/4 (mild sting and then gone). The hard wax dried down to a pliable rubber consistency that didn't turn brittle and into a questionable plastic-like mess from the previous retail brand I tried. Which meant it had a better grip on my hairs and was gentler on my skin. After about an hour, I was done: hairless, smooth, and in no pain and no sign of tenderness whatsoever. I was so surprised. I can now see you truly get what you pay for. I am now going on my third week since my first time with the Cirepil Blue and I am still smooth! I will never pick up another razor and I'm saying a forever goodbye to Nair, Veet, etc.! I have since used it three times to wax my underarms (2x) and my eyebrows (1x). And I can't believe I'm writing but I am actually looking forward to my second go at a self-Brazilian with the Cirepil Blue. I'm hooked! This is amazing stuff. I don't even want to try another brand! TIPS: (1) You want to make sure that when melting the wax that you have a soft ball in the center -- it shouldn't be completely fluid. Also, pick up the wax on your applicator from the center NOT from the sides where it's too hot and too fluid. (2) Apply a lightweight oil (I use sweet almond oil) before application of wax but make sure you remove the excess or else you won't get a proper adhesion to the hairs. I find after wiping away the excess that I apply a little talc-free baby powder really helps. Hairs embed into wax and come up all on the first try. (3) I didn't have any issues with any wax residue being left behind on my lady parts but did when I waxed my underarms. If you do, take an old piece of the hard wax and press the shiny side down onto the wax pieces left behind, press down firmly and then with a pull it off. Instantly and quickly removed so clean up time was cut down. (4) Do make sure to apply some type of skin calming and soothing product to the freshly waxed area after you're finished. Really helps cut down on post wax irritation and sensitivity! Happy waxing! ;)

First off I ordered the 14.11 ounce wax in the tin. The product itself works great, it isn't painless but the pain is definitely lessened as the wax hardens around the hair and sticks less to the skin. I waxed my underarms and did a full brazillian on myself. I tried my eyebrows and it did still leave bumps but that could be more related to the way I did it. I give 5 stars although the advertisement on Amazon says that these are blue hard wax beads but the tin came completely pre-melted as if it is meant to just out the whole tin into the wax heater the product works amazing and I've tried other brands of blue hard wax beads. I thought maybe the pre-melted wax just wasn't mentioned on the Amazon description that the tin comes this way but the directions ON the tin itself say to poor the wax beads into the heater etc. So I believe either the tin needs to come with beads as advertised or the description and directions for/on the tin need to change to reflect how the product actually comes and how to use it. As I've said I have tried other brands of blue hard wax beads and they were very liquidy. This was however once melted was more like a gel so I could get more on my wooden spatula and it was more easily spreadable. I believe it is also easier clean up and maybe even more hygenic having it in its own can that can be thrown away after all the wax is used. Took a little while to melt since it was one big peice but it was no biggie. At first I was taken aback finding a full melted tin but I like it. Also the ripping of skin could possibly be from the wax being to hot when applied to the skin. I've done that and once I turned it down a little it was fine. :)

I feel like I shouldn't give a review because I've never waxed myself with anything else; but maybe someone else is like me and in the same boat. For years I've been going to different salons to have my eyebrows done and I've had some bad experiences here and there. For example hot wax falling in to my eye on the day of my sweet 15 and a lady burning and permanently scaring my face. That was actually the last straw for me, so I decided I was going to learn how to do my own eyebrows. I'm still in the leaning process. I watched a lot of videos on how to use this wax and I've been doing as the directions say. I noticed my hair breaking in half rather than being pulled up from the roots. I've also noticed that some hair gets left behind. At the end of the day. It does a decent job, the remaining hairs I pluck out with tweezers. I'm going to continue using it and maybe change my review further down the line. Also I noticed some people saying that it's not genuine cirepil wax simply because it's not in bean form. It doesn't have to be in bean form, if it was in bean form you'd be getting more air in the can rather than actual wax. Yes, it's still a little painful but not as painful as regular wax. Also please keep in mind that pain is subjective.

What can I say, This stuff is great! A little backstory, the girlfriend, and eye both have sensitive skin. Shaving wrecks me so I have to wax if I want to keep myself kept. The cheaper brands that we've used in the past would always break/crack or pull away if not pulled off at the exact right temperature. The cheaper brands also always left a strange residue as well as causing irritation for some time. Did I mention it hurts like a son of a gun? I decided to try it out after watching a youtube video and seeing how pliable it is even after cooling. It did not seem to break or stretch out when pulled. I even witnessed someone coating their entire arm in the stuff. It arrived, and I compared ingredients. I was a little disappointed as it seemed to have basically the same ingredients. Regardless I tossed it in the heater, it fits the Gigi heater which is great. I played with it a bit and noticed it seemed to be just a viscous as the Gigi brand that was tried previously. I decided to mimic like the revies, just coating a while section the stuff and not pulling it off till cooled way past when the other brands would have cracked off. I was pretty amazed, not only did it not break when pulled off, even when left to be completely cold it did not crack or break. the whole section came off with one strong pull. It hurt a little of course but compared to the cheaper brand that pulled everything just to fail due to cracking, it was much reduced. There was reduced bleeding and irritation as one pull and done seems to be less traumatic than several tuggings with breaking and failures. The next day everything is nice and smooth and NO irritation. The other brand I'd be irritated for about two days. The blue dye is nice as it lets you see where it has ended on you and elsewhere for easy clean up. The fact that it is always tactile makes cleaning up a breeze, no chipping away at rock hard wax. Once cooled it is also less sticky so it does not constantly stick all over the place. Definitely going to be sticking with this brand.

I'm used to waxing different areas of my body (with drugstore brands) but the bikini is something else. I remember doing it with Nads (not too bad) and Parissa (a nightmare). After butchering my last brazilian, I caved in and bought this brand. Initially it looked like the rest, but no. I'd rip big pieces in my tender areas and the pain was minimal. It was so satisfying to see how much hair it would grab. Even after my Brazilians at professionals, my bikini area is usually super red (with drops of blood too) but amazingly with this brand I had minimal redness that went away in a few minutes. It's quite expensive but the pot is big and I'm using it only for my underarms and bikini. It's well worth it if you compare with appointments.

i wish i didnt buy it honestly, i know the brand is known.. but i tried to take the container from the wax and it didnt work....

This is the best hard wax! It hurt so much less than an other top brand I tried for my Brazilian. Removes way more hair the first pass (dust area first with baby powder) and it is so much easier to handle and remove reminants off your skin (use baby oil). Works well with the strips so you can use a thin layer and less wax. I am sure this will last me at least 10 full brazillion waxes. It took over 6 weeks to receive it, so I'm ordering more soon so I don't run out. Will only use this for now on. Highly recommend! Thank you!!

I bought the Gigi waxing set. The wax melter works great but the wax that came with it was awful and made me think I’d make a huge mistake. I read a review that recommended this wax, so thought I’d give it a go before throwing it all away. SO GLAD I DID! It goes up easily, hardens quickly but not not too quickly, is easy to remove and takes so much with it. I will definitely be buying again.
