Cali's Books Alphabet Music Book for Toddlers 1-3 Years Old

Grandson enjoyed the book

This is a favorite of my grandson's. he love all of the music and the pictures and the fact that he can turn the pages and control the songs he listens to with his finger. Love this!

Nice quality for a calm ABC reading & singing activity. Easy to use… just press the buttons. It has an on/off switch. The sound quality is good! I would not hesitate purchasing again as a gift.

We love these books!! My two year old asks me to read them over and over again! They hold the battery for a long time and the songs are so catchy!

I know I could’ve read the description a little better, but I was disappointed that the entire book is only the alphabet song. Each page must plays a snippit of the song, so it’s kind of weirdly cut-off and the pronunciation of each letter name sounds strange. I wanted my toddler to be able to learn the alphabet and letter recognition, but it’s hard to understand the letter names in this song. It’s still cute, but only hearing “A, B, C, D” on one page is boring. Not enough fun for such a hefty price tag!

I didn’t really think much of the way the song feels so disjointed by being so separated and slow between pages but my wife pointed out that it does a better job of teaching our son the alphabet by giving him time to sing along at his own pace. I was going to give it 4 stars but after some consideration and the fact that my son likes books like these with songs and buttons, I think this book is due 5 stars. It will always be hit and miss whether a child likes something that another child likes and whether or not they will learn the same way but my son likes the book and he enjoys interactive books with music so this is a win for us. Books can be hard to get ones your kid really enjoys but when it comes to them learning and expanding their vocabulary I think it’s always worth trying new ones. I think this one is worth a try. My son does enjoy it and I think my younger daughter will too.

My 2yo LOVES this book and he’s hard to please. I love that there is an on/off switch on the back so I don’t have to worry about it going off during a nap. The button on first page plays through the entire alphabet song which is a great addition, but I really love that there is a button on each page that only sings the letters in view (and at a gentle pace). Also, I think for this book I read the batteries last 300 presses. Just FYI (at least for now) they also include how to get the first replacement set of batteries for free through their website which was nice and unexpected (and easy). Also, there’s no volume control if that’s something you want, but the speakers on the back so it’s easy to muffle when you want less volume... Okay, I’m done procrastinating. Back to laundry.

Cali's books comes in four different types: sing the alphabet, baby shark, Humpty Dumpty, and dance by classical music. This is an interactive book that sings when you press the button on each page. The best part is that this book comes with batteries so you do not need to buy them separately in order to use this. This is a great way for your kids to learn their numbers and the alphabet all while having fun. The buttons are easygoing press, so your little one can turn them on and off themselves. When you are finished with the book there is a button on the back that you can switch off to save the batteries. The only downside to these books is that they are very heavy so if your little one drops this on their foot or throws it, it may hurt. Also the songs are quite loud, I wish there was some way to adjust the volume but there isn't.

This book is definitely best for toddlers, as it's only 6 (12) pages long. It's easy to play the short songs - press the little silver button once to start the song, and again if you're sick of it and want to stop the song. The cartoons are cute, and there is a fair amount of writing per page to help kids learn how to read. It helps teach the littles about all of the letters in the alphabet in a sing song way that they really enjoy. Overall, a great toddler book - we'll be back for more.

While I do love this book for its educational purposes, it is probably my least favourite Cali book because it is hard to quickly flip the pages to keep up with the song. My toddler loves to turn the pages on her own but if she turns these ones, we end up falling way behind in the song. I usually end up playing the musical version and sing along to it incorrectly so we can get through all the letters and she can turn the pages. There are only two buttons in this book, one “press and listen” and one “press and sing along” which are located in the cover. I think it would be much better if there were buttons on each page so you could take it at your own pace. I do like the simple illustrations and that each letter of the alphabet has a picture of something that starts with that letter. The sparkly cover is also very beautiful and I love the thick, durable pages (especially for rough toddlers). I love that the batteries can be replaced (3 x AG10) and that there is an on/off switch on the back of the book. I only wish there were volume settings, especially when using it before bed.

5-stars for durability and sturdiness. Each page is thick and kids can't tear them easily. Front and back covers are hardcover, strong. 5-stars for interactive design. Each page plays the alphabet song with the press of a button on the page. Kids love it. 5-stars for value for money. Considering the interactive design, overall high quality of build and construction, and the presentation, this is excellent priced at $20 (price while I write this review).
