Useful for planning walks
I liked this book for ideas about where to go and some of the comments are of interest but very glad I didn't need it much as there are waymarked trails and they are shown on the most recent 1:50000 map. The directions are a bit vague at times but more importantly, the font size is rather small and the directions are hard to follow as they are embedded in rather a lot of additional text.

Good ideas; needs updating.
The book gave us some really good ideas for walks in some lovely places and in three different grades of difficulty, but some of the directions were rather vague and it could possibly do with updating. For example, 'heading in the direction of a lone ash tree' and 'the final cliff face is to your right. Climb it.'

The Burren and Aran Islands, a Walking Guide is a wonderful compact resource, full of all that is needed to bring a walk to life in the area. Highly recommended.
