🎧 Elevate Your Sound Experience!
Total control is at your fingertips with Griffin¿s Navigate inline controller. Navigate maximizes convenient control for any iPod model with a dock connector, and restores the tactile feedback of the iconic click wheel to touchscreen models. About the size of a pack of matches, Navigate gives you an information screen, play controls, power, volume and EQ controls, and an FM stereo radio, all in a single compact unit. Tuck your iPod out of sight, but keep controls close at hand. iPhone users: Just plug Navigate into the dock connector then connect any 1/8¿ (3.5 mm) stereo-mini headphones (including Griffin¿s TuneBuds Mobile) to listen and talk.

Great remote!!
pros:For the price this remote is fantastic! Work fine with ipod touch 4G. Volume levels seem to be more than with the headphone jack on the ipod.Love the fact that I can change songs and the volume without removing my 400 dollar device from my pocket. Especially while shoveling snow! A touch screen is a great interface in general but not for music on the go, for that you need buttons. Big bonus is the very clear display and of course the FM radio. If anyone had a Iriver H120/130 back in the day before apple took over then you will love this remote.Cons:How to use is a bit of a pain at first but you get used to itWish the clip was something you squeeze open rather the pen type clip it has nowthe cable is a bit bulky but I guess it wont break easilyGonna get another one before discontinued or price hike

Function and purpose-wise it is good but breaks easily
Bought this twice in one year already! (not because I wanted to but because I needed to)Pros:* Cheaper than buying a new ipod touch just because my earphone jack no longer makes contact with my earphones well (can't hear anything anymore).* Remote function is awesome* Can listen to FM radio without WiFi connectionCons:* Importantly: wiring is absolutely shoddy! First one I had to wiggle the wire so I can hear out of both earphones. Current one does not even turn on any more* It's not compatible with itouch 2nd gen so you have to turn on ipod and set it to "music" before plugging it in. Or else you will have to restard ipod and connect again* Volume is lower and quality of sound is reduced* Volume resets to factory set default every time you plug it back into the ipod (does not save previous volume setting-- but not a big deal)** The only other alternative is to buy a new ipod (warranty expired) which is obviously more expensive than this. But overall the greatest setback is the terrible wiring. It breaks too easily!

Fixed the Dreaded iTouch Dead Left Channel
Yes the only reason I purchased this item was that my beloved iTouch lost the headphone left channel. Once I plugged the Navigate into the dock, my headphones into the mini on the Navigate and wonder of wonders, both channels work cleanly through the headphones! Yippee! Not only could I hear with both ears, a few extra benefits where discovered. One was being able to press play/pause on the Navigate without having to activate the iTouch screen, slide the lock, then press pause/play. The same goes for fast forward and backward, just press the button on the Navigate. Not only that but there is a "+" and "-" button to raise or lower the volume. With the Navigate you can keep the iPod safely in your pocket and clip the Navigate controller on a belt loop or other handy part of clothing. Allowing you to control the iPod "remotely".In addition the Navigate screen displays the artist and song name on a small LED which makes it easy to see what your playing when the unit is on pause. Now for the one downside. If you leave the Navigate plugged in when not using your iPod, it will run the battery down. Maybe in the next generation they can set it to "sleep" when it's not in use.I recommend this unit to anyone that has experienced a problem with their headphone jack on their iPod.

Overall good, but a few shortcomings...
First of all, this works fine with my Iphone4 on Verizon. It does what it is supposed to do, and the audio quality seems good. The radio has good reception. It doesn't appear to show the station or song information, but I haven't fiddled with it much, and I my local (small) radio stations may not support RDS. The clip works pretty well on a belt loop or thin material. Some drawbacks to be aware of:- The radio is does not have AM. So a lot of talk shows or sports are out.- The super cool, hyped iPhone app, "iFM" does NOT appear to work with this device. I think the old versions of the app did, but now Griffin does not support the device anymore. Bummer.Overall, though, for about $20, it's pretty cool.UPDATE: The cheap plastic clip broke after a few weekends of working around the yard. About 6 months later, the buttons stopped responding, so now it's just a fancy passive display...

Endlich Radio
