... cheap scope but this dagger defense sight definitely looks good on my AR
I was a bit skeptic of buying a cheap scope but this dagger defense sight definitely looks good on my AR! It'll do the job for what you paid for and I realized that it makes it easier to have both eyes open if you have a front iron sight that can get in the way of the red dot reticle but not a big deal. It has good brightness settings and 4 different reticles. I can't afford a EOtech but the quality is very good for the price. If you are looking to get an entry level scope, this will work!

Good sight for an AR pistol
I put this on top of my AR pistol. I boresighted the sight in and took it to the range. It was dead on to the boresight and held its zero through a few pmags. Great deal for the price and I never mind supporting veteran owned companies (kind of biased since I'm a vet).

(Rugers are generally awesome but I got a lemon
OK...I am admittedly a bit of a red dot snob, having fired ~10,000 rounds through M4/AR-15 platforms using Aimpoint optics. However, this sight is an extraordinary value for less than $30. It is built from aluminum and steel and does not feel at all "plasticy" as I expected a Chinese made sight at this price point would.I mounted it on a Ruger Impact .22 air rifle that I could not sight in due to defective open sights. (Rugers are generally awesome but I got a lemon...it happens) It bolted on easily and solidly to the Picatinny rail and was sighted in with 8 rounds at 25m. The reticles are bright and do not wash out in direct sunlight. On the lowest setting, they are brighter than I would want for a CQB scenario but I don't intend to carry my pellet gun into harm's way, thus this is acceptable. Some of the reticle options are silly but the basic dot and the 65 moa circle with center dot look and feel like the reticles used by Aimpoint and EOTech. There is a little bit of parallax that would be unacceptable in a Trijicon RMR but it is completely manageable and not unexpected. I can consistently hit cans out to 50m with this sight and could not be happier with my purchase, as my Ruger was destined to never leave the safe again until I put this Dagger Defense reflex sight on it.If you are looking for an optic to carry into harm's way, cough up the $500 and get an Aimpoint. If you are looking for a low cost sight for plinking, pest control, etc., you will be hard pressed to find anything better in this price range.

For the price this is excellent. The quality is good
For the price this is excellent. The quality is good, seems plenty sturdy. I'm using it tilted 45 degrees, for up close on an AR. I have better optics up top with magnification, but the range I go to likes to have "surprise" up close small targets during 3 gun competitions. rotating 45 degrees and using this for anything inside of 50 yards makes it a LOT easier than backing the zoom out and looking for the target. The reticles are very clear and easy to see. I've probably shot 3-400 rounds after setting the zero on this and it's holding perfectly true. I will say while trying to zero it seemed that it was not a "very accurate" adjustment per click. This was eliminated somewhat by doing a 5 turns right, 3 turns back left type thing to get the movement more predictable per click. Not really an issue, just took a little longer to zero than usual and something to watch out for.

good for price
Good for the price. Working well so far, has ~ 300 rounds under her belt. I love how easy it is to shoot with both eyes open.Make certain you've got the set screw tight when you are setting the scope. While bore sighting her I spent way to long getting it just right, than tightened down the set screw just to watch the reticle walk off to the left... grrrrOf course at this price point, its more toy than tool of war..

Great sight
I bought this reflex sight months ago, and I've run hundreds of rounds through this sight on my AR. Even without the locking screw tightened(I forgot when sighting it in once) it still held zero. It's held zero since being sighted in and held up to being dropped and rained on. With two colors, four reticles and five different brightness settings it's good for most light scenarios. i think the dot is the most accurate, but that's probably just because it's the smallest reticule and I probably aim better with it than a larger one like the circle and dot.I forgot to put some thread locker on some cheap m-lok furniture like a foregrip on my Ar and they actually just fell off while this sight stayed out and zeroed in. Apparently M-lok or Keymod parts need some threadlocker to stand up to the recoil and I think this sight comes with some on the locking screws. It says it stays zeroed even after taking the sight off and putting it back on but I haven't tried it yet, however so far nothing the manual said about sight has been false though. And I've accidentally left it on for weeks only to change out the batteries and not be able to tell the difference, so it doesn't use much power and probably has a very long battery life. I haven't run one down since I got it, only low enough that I wanted to change it out so it would still be very visible in the daylight.

Too fragile for a klutz
This actually held up to the recoil of a 12 guage for a while. That is until some idiot (me) knocked said 12 guage off of the shooting table. Glass cracked in 4 spots and of course the idiot blames the optic. This will work fine on a plinker but don't expect it to handle heavy use.
