Springfield Armory M1A's have barrel alignment problems.
To Kyle and Thomas N., SAI rifles are well known for being out of alignment with the barrel to the centerline of the receiver. My medium weight barreled NM is canted 10 MOA to the left. The ONLY solution is the use of Burris Signature ZEE rings with the offset inserts. I use +10 offset to the right and my SWFA 12x scope is mechanically centered ZERO. There is nothing wrong with the Badace mount it is YOUR SAI rifle that's the problem. You guys have to learn about your rifles and the inherent problems SAI builds into them. OBTW, my LRB is mounted perfectly inline with the barrel and receiver. You get what you pay for. And no I don't work for SAI or LRB.

Wished it worked
I loved how it looks on the rifle and I really wanted it to work. I went through 2 very slow very meticulous installs with this base and just couldn't get it to work. I graduated from the oldest gunsmith school in the U.S. I'm not a full-time gun smith, but I've done a bit more than slap a few AR's together. Anyway I ran out of windage adjustment on my scope before I was ever close to zero both times. I couldn't get the base straight, even after making sure there were zero obstructions, proper torque settings, following the instructions exactly, etc. I think they offer a special set of rings to offset this issue which you can purchase, but I didn't want to spend more and change my Leupold scope/rings setup. I installed on a Springfield Armory M1A scout.

Overall Good Product
Overall, this is a great product. It is very secure and seems to be holding zero. However, I have shot some ammo that hits it upon ejection, which gets caught between the mount and the charging handle (similar to a stovepipe). If you shoot higher quality ammo, you shouldn’t have an issue.
