Good value, nostalgia.
upon opening the box it gave me flashbacks to when I was 8 and practiced with my daisy buck bb gun everyday. This is basically an adult sized daisy buck/red ryder but a better value than the adult sized red ryder. The lever is pretty stiff out of the box but that might be due to the extra 75 FPS it has over the daisy buck and i suspect might soften up through use. The wood finish looks a little more orange than the photos show but still nice.

Exceeded my expectations
Just what I was looking for and for the right price!

It doesn't last.
This is the second time I purchased this Crossman BB air rifle and both times it has conked out on me. I returned the first one no problem and got another of the same. Now this one is useless too. It won't load and I guess I am stuck with it. Not happy.

Great spring loader rifle
Had one as a kid. Been trying to reseed my lawn and the pigeons just won't let it happen so I picked one up to help shoo them off as they've gotten used to the garden hose and don't run for cover anymore. Loaded easily right out of the box. With a full compliment of ammo, this gun weighs quite a bit. Almost like a real rifle, but its well balanced for a youth size rifle. Walked out to the yard and FIRST shot plugged a bird a 25 feet. For a round BB coming out of a smooth non-rifled barrel, I was amazed! Very accurate for a smaller spring loaded BB gun. 350fps. Wood is wood, barrel is metal. Just the lever and trigger are plastic. (Which is a disappointment. For this price they should be stamping metal for these like they used to.) That's the only reason for not giving 5 stars.

Sorry gus, I know it's just a BB gun, but geeze, compared to the Daisy Red Ryder, it's gutless. The only reason for me to try something else was my wrapping 3 Red Ryders around a Mesquite tree because they go through spells where damn things WILL NOT discharge a BB, I don't care what you do. When it does though, it performs and takes out what I want it to, WHEN EVER IT FINALLY DISCHARGES A BB.

Cheaply made and dangerous.
The lever snapped clean off the first day and injured my daughter. She’s a tiny thing, so it’s not like it suffered undue force.
