Albatross has the largest selection of lefty body kits that I have found. (They just need that lefty thunderbird, wink wink). This is a quality body kit. The neck and body are numbered and matched for a perfect fit. The shop is creative in the way that they display the spalting of the top veneer. I'd almost buy another just to see how the top was configured. While the hardware was adequate for the economy of the kit, I chose to upgrade the hardware with help from YouTube, Crimson Guitars, Big D Guitars and Stewart Macdonald (stewmac.com). This was a great project. The action and neck are sweet. I would build another albatross in a flat second if it plays as good as this one.

Best buy on Amazon! Neck looks sweet, top is gorgeous; the neck joint is precise! Biggest surprise is the hardware...great quality stuff. Comes with absolutely every piece of hardware needed, including wire, solder, strings and an amp cord! Starting the build now so I will update later. Carpentry skills required but mine will need no woodwork before neck glue-up. Pots are both 7.75 ohms so it is the creamy les sound.Ok,it's been a couple months and we are finished...GOD what a sweet guitar! Absolutely love the neck and the action is low. Everything was cut so that glue-up was simple and everything fit perfect. Mahogany is fun to work and finishes nice and the spalted top is the bomb! We replaced the caps with paper/oil caps and it is the authentic '57 sound!We stained the back and sides and finished the top/ head clear.Every part worked great and everything is included.Top shelf stuff!

I was impressed with overall quality of this kit and the neck joint was as tight n perfect as it could be. I'm going to enjoy finishing this guitar n setting it up to my preferences. Well worth the money. Don't know about the included accessories. Haven't tried them yet. I'm assuming they're as cheap as possible to keep costs down. I'll probably buy aftermarket pickups and tuners.
