I love these rollers! I have medium long hair - processed and colored. It goes to my shoulder blades as a point of reference. They warm up quickly - they make great curls and for me, they leave me with hands and arms that can get my make up on, brush my teeth, etc. while my hair is getting curled! And the curl holds pretty well for a day or two. The small curlers are a bit too tight for what I want in curls, however that curl last longer than the largest rollers. Makes sense, right? I also was plugging them in and they get really hot, so I plan it accordingly. Highly recommend for ladies with long hair!

These hot curlers work really well! I have long, fine hair and doesn’t curl well with a hand held curling iron. This Remington Ionic Conditioning Hair Setter is just what I needed. It’s easy to use and the rollers heat up quickly. After drying my hair, I use the large rollers to roll up my hair and after waiting about 10 minutes, my hair has a beautiful curl! This was a perfect solution for me!

I just received this roller set this evening, and I tried it right away. I noticed a hot plastic smell, which I guess is to be expected. It heats up relatively fast, although not as fast as my curling iron. I like that I can set my hair, then do my makeup while the curlers do their work. They did a good job curling my hair. We'll see how long the curls last. The two negatives: no automatic shutoff (which would have been convenient), and NO place to put the J-clips, unlike any hot roller set I've ever had before. Fortunately, I have a slot to put them in my makeup tray, but it would be a lot more convenient in the unit itself, especially for traveling.

I haven’t had hot rollers in decades and decided to get a set and this was a great set for me. It has enough of the bigger rollers. I think there’s like six of them. I ended up maybe not even using all of them and then the mediums and I don’t think I touched any of the small ones I have shoulder length hair. It worked great for me. Super simple. There is no on/ off button that I can tell. I literally just plugged it in and it lit up and takes about 10 minutes or so to heat up. the one roller has a dot that will change colors when it’s heated and when it’s cool it’s a different color so you just keep an eye on that. I realized the pins themselves are different sizes to fit the different size rollers. Each pin has a colored dot at the end to indicate which size roller it fits. Very easy to use. The rollers were hot. I would say not too hot to damage hair. The inside where your hair touches is like a soft felt material.

Works great. The heat up nicely and it only took an hour or less to get curls in my hair.

Package arrived in a condition that led me to suspect I had received an item that had been returned previously. Pictures reveal the way it was received. No items were missing from the inside of the box however the power cord was loose in the box...no tie There is no on/off switch. The unit takes a very long time to heat up. Several times, I had to shut it off without using it because I was finished getting ready and had to run. Yes, curlers are hot. I like the metal J clips. I have thin hair shoulder length hair. Not enough large rollers for me. The rollers gave me a super tight curl...I prefer a more relaxed style. So definitely not my favorite but it does what it is advertised to do.

These hot rollers served the purpose. They take a while to heat to the maximum temp, but work just as well before they hit the max heat.

I haven't used hot rollers in years! I grew up with a set and loved them. Then after many years it finally had to be retired and the newer ones tangled in my long hair and because my hair was also thick but very fine, and the metal pins wouldn't hold them, I gave up. I kept my very straight hair long, then later went to a shoulder length bob. Eventually my hair thinned out a bit due to age and a medication. I finally decided to try hot rollers again for a change of do after reading reviews. This was a great price and I ordered the clamp clips as an add-on at the suggestion of Amazon's "frequently bought together" and reviews of various hot curlers where people preferred those clips. I was so pleasantly surprised. The reviewer who said the "J" clips are better now than they used to be was right and with these lightweight rollers, they work fine but I do like the clamp style so I'm happy I got both. These rollers give plenty of curl in 3 sizes. I like the number included as well as the variety. It is easy to use. I don't know exactly how fast it heats up because I generally plug it in before my shower or while putting on makeup and it is ready when I am. The hard case is nice too and looks great sitting on my bathroom counter, ready to use. I had some concern about the flock style holding in my hair but with the clamps they work just fine and no tangling. It is way easier than trying to curl the back of my hair with an iron and goes faster because I can do other things while the curl sets. I would definitely recommend this product. My hair currently hits my shoulders so I'm not trying to get super long curls now so I can't speak to that but I feel my hair could be a bit longer and still do well. I can't speak to very long, thick hair like mine in days past but in those days I required 2 complete 20 roller sets to do my hair and even with that, the hair is so fine it would fall out of curl easily. Using product like a styling spray definitely helps and losing the super oily hair of adolescence also means I can do 2nd and 3rd post-shampoo days and the curl just takes that much better because I"m not starting from totally straight so it only takes a few minutes to revive the hairdo. Addition to original review. After using this hairsetter for a few months now, I have just one comment to add. I have had an end cap come off one of the large rollers. It can be replaced by pushing it into place but what happened is it got caught as I pulled it out of the opening slot. It was difficult to get the cap out from below the grate that holds the curlers in place. I managed it but it happened twice. If I were to contribute to a wish list on this it would be that the holes were just ever so slightly larger so it wouldn't catch. But, I'm still loving it and would buy again. UPDATE: I have used these for several months now and though I still like how they curl, I have not had 3 end caps come off. These are very hard to retrieve when they are at the heated end and come off when you lift out the roller (or should I say "pry" since it seems they get stuck easily. One opening literally seems to have shrunk. The end caps can be pushed back on but they don't stay put. The other thing I wish is that there were more large rollers. I never use the tiny ones and I purchased another set to have some jumbos but they were actually bigger than I wanted and I hate heating two units to get enough larger rollers anyway. The large rollers in this set are a great size. I wish I could buy a whole set of that size. I probably would not purchase this again, given the experience over about one year.

Love these hot rollers after one use! I have fine, medium length ( not quite to the shoulder) hair, and larger size rollers give me volume, but no curl. These rollers give me both! I’m so happy with the results! I like that the clips are colour coordinated with the roller size, and that the roller ends don’t burn my fingers. Also, I’m not sure if it’s the velvet covering, but I did not have any frizz! 🙌
