This thing is fantastic on Havel nuts. It is made from 3 parts, all metal. It does come fully apart but can be difficult to do. Very good machine work. Fit and finish is professional. Highly recommend if you love Havel nuts. I know you can use this for all types of nuts but I haven't had that opportunity yet. Will update when I do.

A durable nutcracker that does well on hazelnuts. It requires less effort to crack the harder hazelnut shell and doesn't pinch my hand the way the lobster cracker style does. It's not as messy. Shell fragments don't fly across the room, but stay inside the cracker until the nut is dumped out. Occasionally a piece of shell jammed in it.

I was looking for a nutcracker for small nuts like pistachios. Oddly difficult to find but this one works great. And it’s reasonably priced highly recommend.

Purchased this 14 days ago. It looks solid and feels good. Problem is this evening wife and I were cracking walnuts and the handle broke off where it joins the top of the cylinder. My guess is this a copy of a more expensive version made by Drosselmeyer. You have to apply a lot pressure to the handle to crack nuts, this is fine if the product is strong and solid construction. When it breaks off like this one did you end up with a jammed finger. Is it possible the PRC stands for Peoples Republic of China? Is it possible this is a knock off that breaks like a popsicle stick? While it looks good, and worked well for the first three uses, its a dud in my books. How can you trust something that has broken and jammed your finger? UPDATE January 15th. Received a polite email from a representative from Beijing China. They apologized for the broken handle and asked me to email photo and order number. They have shipped a replacement nut cracker. Can't complain about their response and how quickly it was resolved. Maybe this was a lemon we will put the new nutcracker to the test as we love hazelnuts and walnuts! Hopefully this replacement makes the cut and keeps on cracking. Will update after 30 days. Have to say the folks from China replied quickly and that their English is a whole lot better than my Mandarin Chinese. It's an interesting comment on how small the world has become when someone half way around the world replaces a $20 nut cracker within 24 hours

This nut cracker does not work for pistachios; it crumbles the shell so much that it's impossible to separate nut from shell. For larger nuts it works minimally but I find it awkward to use as have my guests. If I had a choice I'd return it but it's past Amazon's return deadline.

'Tis the season for eating nuts and our family was using the traditional nutcracker shaped like a V. The result was shells flying all over the house and mutilated nuts. Enter this Landtom Premium Nutcracker and it changed our whole experience. This nutcracker is amazing! Walnuts, pecans, even Brazil nuts were cracked with ease, and came out in whole pieces, rather than crumbs that had to be scraped out of broken shells. My kids are eating healthy nuts, rather than reaching for crackers or chips, because it's so easy to use. Seems pretty sturdy too. Can't recommend more!

I’m sure this device works smashingly with softer shelled nuts. I purchased because they said it was more than capable to open mac nuts. This did not work in my case. We live, we learn. Xoxo
