My 3rd pair in 30 years!
I am 67 years old, and purchased my first leather Asolos in 1990. I still have all 3 pairs. They haven't changed much over those years. The first pair I had resoled by the famous Seattle boot cobbler twice. However, the uppers finally gave out; but I can't bear to throw them away. The second pair needs new soles, so I decided to get a 3rd pair a year ago, so I would not be without any boots for a long period. The 2nd pair needed new soles because I wore them down, not because they separated. I injured one of my feet badly and now need to size up one of the boots, so now I am buying my fourth pair. I have never had the separation problem with the sole, but I hike very little in the water or ankle deep mud. It appeared from the photos of the negative comments that those boots had spent a lot of time very wet. Looking for a lighter weight boot, I have tried many other boots and find nothing that comes close to the sole and ankle protection, balance and comfort. And these are still made by Asolo, a really good Italian manufacturer.

Horrible boots and customer service
After reading all the wonderful reviews, I decided to go ahead and make the plunge on investing $300.00 for a pair of hiking boots. These boots greatly disappointed me. The soles started coming apart after only 1 month hiking on the AT. 2 weeks after shipping the boots back per the instructions. I contacted the company Bob Wards to get a status on the return. Their response was that they hadn't received them, which is complete BS. Do not buy from this seller unless you are sure of the item and the quality of it because this seller will lie and do anything to get out of doing the right thing.

Laces were different lengths!
Was really excited to find these boots online as I have non-leather Asolo’s that I just love. Got them and immediately tried them on ....and couldn’t figure out what was up the laces…. I unlaced and measured… 2 different lengths. One about 7 inches shorter than the other. The short lace is too short to tie up the boot properly. For $330.00 I would have hoped something so basic would have been found in Q/C.Will be sending back as the boots just a bit too roomy even wearing my thickest hiking socks. I might have been willing to see if I could have found thicker socks but so annoyed with the fact that the laces are 2 different lengths that I’ll take the time and spend the money to send back for a refund.Hope this feedback is useful.

Quality can be spelled “Asolo”.
My wife loves these boots. It is her 3rd pair! Hiking, working, or playing, she likes the support they provide. Quality materials and workmanship make Asolos a first class manufacturer of high quality footwear.

Unexpectedly comfortable right out of the box
I walk my dogs in a local park that often has flooded trails after a heavy rain. I expected to have to break in these boots for awhile but they where comfortable right off

Best boots
I have narrow feet with some arthritis. These are my 3rd pair of these boots. They are the best: rather narrow with a very stiff sole. Perfect!

Don't do it!
You'd think spending over $250 on a reputable company's boot that yours get a quality product. Not with Asolo. I had GTXs that had a delamination problem so I wanted to stay away from Asolo until my friends swore up and down about these. I bit the bullet and enjoyed them for a few hikes, and then I got what you see here. Both boots delaminated. Obviously Asolo support sucks as it's clearly a common problem they're not addressing with their customers. I'm done with Asolo and their crappy over priced boots.
