PURE PROTEIN Pure Protein Bar, 6 (50 g) Bars, Chocolate Peanut Butter

Best low carb, low sugar, low fat bars I have tasted. I bought these as a snack or lite meal to add in loosing wight and managing diabetes. I think these are excellent for diabetes management. Granted I do not have a medical degree, but i have had diabetes for almost 18 years. I found them to have very little negative effect on my blood sugar and are a great size for a snack or a quick meal. I also found their portion size and nutritional information easy to read, and understand which means they were easier to incorporate into my diet. An important fact for people that are using insulin to manage diabetes. Peanut butter is my favorite, but the chocolate on chocolate version is an awesome "almost candy bar" that is a great sweet tooth satisfier. I keep a few boxes on hand. They do not hold up well if you leave them in your car on a 90+ degree day.....but that was more my fault then the manufacturer. :-)

Only 2 grams of sugar per bar and taste great. I will purchase this again.

These are my daughter's go to breakfast, lunch, snack...whatever. She is a teen, always running around here or there. And usually, when she has to work early (and by early I mean 11am) she grabs a bar on the way out the door. She prefers this flavor. As for me, I prefer Pure Protein - the brand. The bar. Really. I like that the bars are full of protein and very very little refined sugar. I like that when my kids need a snack, I have these in the pantry for them and I know they are getting a good quality snack that will fuel them - not break them down. Thanks Pure Protein. These are pretty average as far as protein bars go. I personally prefer the taste of Quest bars, but I figured I would give these a shot for variety sake. I don't regret it, because they were okay, but I don't think I will be rushing back. I find that Quest tastes better, and I find the macros to be more oriented towards fat (from almonds that Quest uses) as opposed towards carbs in the Pure Protein bars. Coming more from the Paleo school of thought on nutrition, I'd go with the Quest bars, all things being equal. But these were fine for a change of pace

Delicious like a candy bar, but much less sugar and fat. Great on-the-go snack.

These are wonderful, but as with many products like this, you have to be weary of sugar alcohols (and what they do to your digestive tract). These are low on the end of the scale so you can have one a day and not pay the price, if you catch my meaning. They're as good as a candy bar - no joke. Highly recommend!!
