Spyder Enforcer Jacket

This jacket is the perfect weight for skiing. It’s warmer than just a shell alone but not bulky at all. I’m 6’1” 200lbs and usually wear a large but got an XL as Spyder jackets tend to run small. The XL is perfect, I mean absolutely spot on. The material is very durable and the fit is not restrictive at all. The only minor hiccup is the Velcro on the cuffs could be a bit stronger, but it doesn’t really matter with gloves on because the wrist portion of my Swany gloves cover the jacket cuff. Not a bunch of gimmicks trying to make up for lack of quality either. The hood easily fits over a helmet if it’s dumping or windy and can be tightened for a snug fit. I’ve been on the mountains for 40+ years and this is definitely one of the nicest jackets for skiing I’ve ever had. If you are looking for performance, style and comfort then you can’t go wrong with this offering from Spyder. No RECCO built into this jacket but I’m not too concerned with that. If I’m in avalanche territory then I’m likely with a guide or have some other sort of RECCO or location equipment. I paid $128! That’s a crazy good price but even at $225 it’s a great deal. The only reason to spend insane money would be because you have more more money than to know what to do with, and even in that case your not going to get a better coat. Skiing is not a cheap sport and there are plenty of people who drop huge sums of money as a status symbol. This coat is a really nice looking and functional piece of apparel from a well respected manufacturer so if you’re concerned with status or are a label whore then this checks that box too I guess. I’ll let my skiing do the talking and the Spyder Enforcer will keep me warm in all conditions, including below zero with the appropriate layers if needed. Enjoy!

True size and good fabric. Gigantic hood - I guess it can fit a moto helmet. Three-way hood adjustment helps to handle this partly, but it does not keep good in windy weather. My jacket made in Myanma, some loose threads and it came with a hole in the fabric in hand warmer pocket (not sewed seam from one side), so I can't give it 5 stars for quality. Jacket is 40 thinsulate insulation, good for skying.

I have not used this jacket yet but I really like it it fits really nice.

it's an excellent jacket, but i am not quite sure who is it for. i'm a 5' 6 guy with a bit of a beer belly and i am struggling to zip it up, however the sleeves seem to be made for a guy with gorilla arms. jacket is top quality, but be warned: it's a SLIM fit, which is not highlighted even on the manufacturer's website :(
