This is a quick preliminary review. I'll log back on in 1-2weeks and then probably one last time at the 4 week mark. I bought these after burning through my 4th pair of Jaybird Bluebud X headphones. All got replaced under warranty but you get tired of the process and after the fourth failure you just begin to accept that "sweat proof" in Jaybird terms just means "we will replace these when they eventually break and you just have to pay to ship them back to us". At one point I was fine with that because the X series was unmatched for aggressive fitness usage (think Crossfit and other Plyometrics). Things have changed and so I decided to see what else was out there. I've had these just one day so far so these are initial impressions only (will change and update as I go).Out of box impressions:For $30 I figured they would come in an unmarked white box. They come in a relatively "low rent" cardboard box but it is branded, everything has "it's place" and nothing is loose inside.Very light, lighter then my Jaybird Freedom Sprints and lighter then my blue bud X'sButton Usage - Where jaybird is a quick tap for volume and long press for track change these are the opposite, long press for volume. It's clearly a preferential item but I prefer this method. When running and working out I'm more likely going to change tracks frequently then adjust volume. With jaybirds it can be hard to maintain a stride when you have to hold a button for 3 seconds to change tracks.USB Cover - Flimsy feeling. I'm not going to judge it yet but this right off the bat feels like an impending source of failure.Fit - The strap has a nice little inline tie that lets you shorten it up, it's not as flexible/precise as the method Jaybird uses on the X series which use a series of clasps instead of just one but its better then nothing like on the Freedom Sprints.Volume - Loud. Louder then any other bluetooth set I've had perhaps going back to the original motorola S9's which where lovely (but failed more often then BlueBud X's).Sound Stage - I'd probably look to get some comfy tips that fit, the included rubber ones are perfectly "satisfactory" but once you get used to the isolate of comfy tips it's hard to consider anything else.Sound Range - Bass heavy, not in a bad way but way punchier then anything from Jaybird. Mid's are fine, high's seem a little but diminished. For my usage I'm not that "tuned in" to it nor am I listening to opera or symphony so the balance here is fine.I'm evaluating these SOLELY as a stereo bluetooth headset for physical workouts. I don't care or plan to use any calling features. I'll update my review in 1-2 weeks once I put a few dozen miles (running) and kilometers (rowing) on them. My initial impression is that these have the "Feel" of an updated Jaybird Freedom Sprint. They weigh less, have better battery life, better range, and better acoustics. I'll still give the tip of the head to the x series for anything inverted or very aggressive (such as crossfit). I don't think these would stay in the ear securely when jumping off a rope climb, inverting to do hand stand pushups, and then doing a bunch of box jumps. But for running or general activity that doesn't require that level of inversion or even lateral movement they seem fine.

Good Value, Working Great
I recently bought a TROND transmitter and over-ear headphones to help me hear my television. I decided to also try these ear buds, because I like the noise-reduction, and they are more comfortable for me. I wear glasses, so having earbuds is easier than trying to get headphones in just the right position. The ear buds works great. I paired the buds with the same transmitter as the headphones, and both work.I give these 5 stars, but I think there are some drawbacks. I wish the volume could go louder. It's adequate for loud shows and sports, but for quiter moments, they could use some more volume.I also wish the battery power were greater. These last about 6 hours per charge. It sounds like a lot, but if you're sitting down to watch a few movies or an NFL double header, you will not have enough battery life. That part is a bit disappointing, but overall I am please with this product and my other TROND purchases.

Good sounding sports headset at great price- IPX4 (splash) rated.
The Trond Edge headset is a good bargain at the current price of $17 (July 2017). It is a sports headphone and is IXP4 rated (sweat/ splash proof but *not intended* for swimming or immersion!). Lots of Chinese headsets appear to based on the same design with "over the ear" clips. While I prefer that design, all of my headsets have failed after a few months with the same issue (see below). The Trond Edge appears to based on a different hardware design and uses stabilizing fins inside the ear. The unit comes with a variety of fin and ear cushion sizes. The sound is quite good (esp. good bass, and loud!), Pairing is efficient, with voice confirmations of power on/off pairing status, etc. This unit can control your music player (pause, track forward, back). Although I have seen mention of EQ control in a review, I don't believe the Edge unit has that option (not noted in manual). The build quality of the actual hardware inside the unit is difficult to evaluate. A specific problem noted with this headset in other reviews is one I have experienced with lots of other Chinese manufactured brands (but not yet with this model): After multiple uses/ charges the unit may only turn on when connected to USB charging cable (rendering it essentially useless). I suspect a connection inside the unit goes bad- as the battery charge light indicates a full charge (blue)- so not battery related. I wonder how much hardware is actually shared between different brands of headsets.I will update this review if I experience any issues. So far, very happy with it. Hoping this unit lasts more than a few months.

Good product for the price with 18 month warranty.
I give these headphones 5 stars based on the performance for such a reasonable price and the customer service from the manufacturer. I use these primarily to listen to audible books while exercising or working around the house and their sound is fine for this use. The feature that tells you when you have turned them on and then are connected allows one to use them without taking them off to find out if they are on.They do work for phone calls but I have not used them for this very often. The multiple rubber earbud covers and attachments helped me get a good fit in my ear and they tend to stay in my ear as well or better than similar products I have used. ( They do come out sometimes while I exercise but not as much as others.)They also come with a little manual which explains how to use them.Like most of the low cost earbuds, mine have tended to only last 6 or months in perfect order, but unlike others, these have an 18 month warranty and the vendor provides replacements if they do fail. They have replaced two different sets for me within their warranty periods. Thus for their very affordable price, warranty and service, I think these deserve 5 stars.
