Sea Buckthorn Hand & Body Lotion Aubrey Organics 8 oz Liquid

I highly recommend Aubrey Organics - Sea Buckthorn Hand & Body Lotion, it is truly a WINNER for dry skin and hand dermatiti!I have tried many brands of hand & body lotion, and spent $$$$$ on lotions, creams, and doctors and so far this actually works by actually penetrating into the skin.I believe the secret is the "Sea Buckthorn" ingredient, as I have used other Aubrey Organic body lotions, and they were not good for my condition of dry skin caused from low thyroid. Also the scent of Sandalwood is so soothing to the soul, and all the ingredients in this SEA BUCKTHORN nourishing moisturizing lotion really make a wonderful lotion.Aubrey Organics is very correct on their labeling stating "nourishing moisturizing lotion" as most creams, and lotions are very misleading, but this actually works, and has cleared up my hand eczema, dry skin condition!!!! Been using this lotion for a few years now. It's rich, has a nice, light smell, works better than any other so far, to sooth my overly dry winter skin. The only complaint I have is that the pump won't get the last 1/4 of the lotion out of the bottle. One must store it upside down and unscrew the cap to get the last 1/4 of the lotion out of the bottle. They should either make it thinner so that the pump is good to the last drop, or they should put this nice thick, rich cream in a jar, so it would be easy to use it all up.

First off, THIS IS THE BEST SMELLING LOTION EVER - and it lasts a long time without being overpowering. It has a very EARTHY SCENT - with sandalwood, cedarwood, rosewood, and patchouli. The patchouli does not overpower the woods, it is strong and delicate and long-lasting all at the same time.We rid ourselves of all chemicals in our food and personal care products, and Aubrey's is our favorite product line overall by far (although we like some products from Dr. Bronner's, Method, Seventh Generation, Burt's Bees, and Tom's of Maine).The quality of the lotion is amazing - don't let the price scare you off. It lasts a long time, and doesn't take anywhere near the amount of the cheap crap from big box stores.If you've gotten this far to looking at this lotion - BUY IT - you won't be disappointed.

I met Aubrey back in the mid 1990s when he came to demonstrate his mad scientist alchemy at our food co-op. He was passionate about using all natural ingredients, his own simple all-natural preservative, and nothing else. This was what made his products so far superior to everything on the market, "natural" or "conventional." I was very disappointed when I saw the slow decline of that commitment starting after he died. The fragrance in this lotion is unnecessary and unpleasant. Adding a fragrance is like saying to anyone with allergies or chemical sensitivities, DO NOT BUY. An unscented all-natural lotion is now like the unicorn...I'd love to see one but I am doubtful of its existence. The quality is still far better than anything you can buy in the health & beauty aisle at your grocery store, but definitely inferior to Aubrey's original formulations. Shame on you guys for lowering your standards. Without that level of purity, your products no longer outshine other natural brands but instead blend in with the crowd at the health food store. You have lost your niche.

I'd have to agree with other reviewers that the strong scent is not my favorite, but the lotion is great, and the smell goes away! Yellow, creamy stuff that you can trust is all natural and makes me skin baby soft!

The smell is very strong but I really like it! It's a very natural smell and not synthetic smell.The ingredients are all natural and I feel very good about using it. The lotion has also lasted me a long time because I only need a little to accomplish hydrated skin. You really don't need much.I can truly feel my skin has been moisturized. I will definitely buy this product again.

Aubrey's must have changed their ingredient formula because the ingredients listed on Amazon and the Environmental Working Group's site ([...]) differ from those on the bottle itself. Not only has the number of ingredients increased dramatically, the actual ingredients now contain moderate toxins such as denatured alcohol (also used to thin shellac), tocopheryl acetate (EWG gives it a "4" as opposed to regular tocopheryl, which is a "2") and glyceryl linoleate. Fortunately Amazon's return policy is great. No problems there, but my search for a clean line of hand lotion continues...
