You bend it near the twist you don't twist it again, just bend itt to make it feel comfortable to the person, I have trouble eating with normal utensil so to make it easier for me I have my elbow side and holding it , it's like using dumb bells with this only the fork does the job, hope you can understand what I am saying, mazza
