We love this! It's natural so that's a plus
We love this! It's natural so that's a plus. I don't want my baby ingesting nasty chemicals. It's easy to grab which is even better! Fairly easy to put in mouth though she usually holds it sideways so for now I have to help her, not a big deal though. Out of all the natural pacifiers and teeters ove gotten her she likes this and the CaaOcho fish the most. Seems to be pretty durable as well! Love the textured ribs it has too.People would do well to realize:-If your baby doesn't like it it's not the toy or company's fault! Most babies don't like EVERY. SINGLE. TOY. They do have preferences. Use it as a ball, many others say their kid loves to chase it!-Yes it smells. Not really true vanilla but similar. But way better than other natural rubber toys! IDK how people say their others don't smell because the pacifiers and nipples and fish teether I bought have ALL smelled of a actual rubber smell. I'll take this over them any day and vanilla is actually a calming scent so perhaps its intentional. Kudos to you Calmies! I'll take anything that calms my lil teether!-It's about the size of a baseball. I thought it'd be smaller but am pleasantly surprised!-Yes there are seams. But it's pretty durable! Unless your kid is half German Shepard, you shouldn't have to worry about it being torn apart.-It can be a little tricky to get in the mouth correctly but help your kid out a few times and they'll get it eventually! Mine usually figures it out within ten minutes if I dont help herI love this toy. If they made more toys I'd buy them right up! Between teething, grasping, playing, and later chasing and bouncing. I know we will get more than what we paid out of it. I mean this thing will probably last her at least 6 years. And then I bet it would be good for a dog who chews but not tears apart toys.

I wish I purchased sooner!
For my third born, we happened upon this teether when searching for natural rubber ones. I was leaning more towards a different one, actually, but ultimately decided to let me husband choose. And I'm so glad I did! Not only is it easy to hold for grasping babies- you could easily and safely fit it over their hand as a teether mit for babies who can't grasp yet or to be sure it doesn't have any unexpected drops when out and about!Cleaning is super simple to just boil some water on the kettle, and pour over the ball while it sits in a bowl, and I dont have to worry about any nooks and crannies being missed with how open and visible it all is! The natural rubber is fantastic, and frankly I feel helps more than any other teether we've gotten for our other children. Not to mention it has this delicious smell to it?! Like marshmallows, but obviously natural and not fragranted seeing as I would most definitely get a headache if it were. Each spine of the ball has one of 3 different textures to it, which I can only imagine are a great sensory experience to those young teethers. I wish we had this with my first born! I will definitely be purchasing again, for all of my expecting friends!

Natural Rubber Scent from Mother Nature
Baby likes the Calmies! The item was our choice since this was one of the few (if not only) natural teether that's actually natural. The rubber is taken from the tree (like sapp) and that's pretty much it. (Unlike Sophie the giraffe which has food grade paint). Can't get more plant based than that and it's proven to be sustainable over the last 30 years. What I like:There's different textures to it, so it has a smooth part, a red vine (like Twizzlers) and a bumpy texture. Montesorri friendly. I assume this helps baby to try out different feelings on the gums/tooth. I would ask but won't get a legible answer. Hopefully this will be good for the molars since it's not just one type of texture. Also, on a hot day, you can put in the fridge/freezer to be cool. No liquid or condensation. TSA approved. And it doesn't make any noise. What You may not like:Now it does smell like rubber which is something natural, believe it or not. There's no coating or colors or dyes. This is what the color of rubber is in mother nature. But like honey or roses, this is the natural scent of rubber. It's not toxic it's just that we're used to this scent as being "chemical" but it's actually a raw scent. I saw old reviews that mentioned vanilla but that's from an older model that the manufacturer doesn't make anymore. There's no vanilla scent.PS. If you squeeze it, it turns into a flower. Kind of a fun thing to do as an adult to relieve stress. Ha

All natural, appealing design, easily grasped... baby loves it.
We purchased our first "Calmies" for my niece, who was 4 months old at the time. Her mom reports that the baby absolutely loves it, and will reach for the Calmies first, no matter how many other items are placed around her. It may be the shape of the thing, or how easy it is for her to grasp. No matter which way it is turned, the baby can get a hold of it on the first attempt, which probably sets it apart from the other toys and rings. As she got a few months older, we noticed that she seemed to find interest in the different textures - the 'arms' of the spherical ring have several different textures (bumpy, ridges, etc), and little Jessica seems to find that appealing. From the parents' perspective, they like the fact that this teether has only 1 ingredient: 100% natural rubber, with nothing artificial added to it -- no stains or dyes or chemicals of any kind. Natural.Happy baby, happy parents. What more could we ask for?

I think this may be our go to teether.
This was suppose to be a christmas gift for my infant but I gave it to her early. Its a softer rubber than I expected - in a good way. It smelled a little strong when I first took it out of the packaging but it was fine after washing. The instructions just say to wash with warm soapy water so I'm not sure if you can boil it to sanitize which would be helpful to know . its the perfect size - smaller than an oball , bigger than a toddlers fist. Its soft and maluable like I said so little fingers wont get hurt /stick.
