Grandson needed more usb for pc, this did the job

I bought this as I was having problems with my ethernet connection on a Linux box. Unfortunately, Linux did not recognise the ethernet port. But the 3 USB3 ports have been a handy bonus and now that I've replaced the Linux box with a new Mac mini it expands the limited number of ports very well. I keep it near the front of the mac so I don't need to poke about around the back, much handier. I haven't tried the ethernet port on the Mac so don't know if it would work there or not, but even as just a USB3 hub it's been a good buy.

Works fine as described. One draw back does seem to heat up when in use could be normal only time will. Tell.

The product arrived well packaged in a bag within a plain cardboard box. Plugging this into a Windows 10 laptop resulted in the usual device detection circle and the Ethernet port and usb hub were both available to use in under 10 seconds. The USB ports are illuminated blue at all times, regardless of whether a device is plugged in or not. The device hasn’t skipped a beat either on the Ethernet port or the USB ports which have been used to connect an external mouse and an external keyboard in several weeks of daily use for work and personal use.Great value for money.

I bought this for my laptop as the internal ethernet was not working properly with Windows 10. It works and I now have three extra USB ports which is nice.Have not noticed any issues and so far does not seems to get hot in use.

I bought this product primarily because my laptop only has one USB port and given that I use this laptop as my daily computer and plug into a monitor at home, I often need extra ports to use all my peripherals, including mouse, keyboard, headset, etc. This was a simple solution to this. I notice no lag/latency when using the product and still have ports spare should I wish to plug in something or transfer data. Transferring data is a breeze too; I often transfer high quality 4k videos from my DJI to my laptop and the speeds are fast.The product arrives in tecknets frustration free packaging and looks very smart and stylish. The shorter cable length is also appreciated as it means there aren’t long wires dangling off. I have not used the ethernet feature yet, but I’m sure it would work suitably.I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a USB hub with ethernet facilities!
