A keeper
This roller is a fine tool, one to keep. Flawless in operation, built for long use, there is no doubt it'll remain in your toolbox. From the comfortable, soft handle to the quality rubber roller this is built for the job of rolling. It's not overbuilt but done appropriately just right has a steel cylinder running on a hardened steel axle. The rubber roller is solidly bonded to the cylinder and the axle rolls in a hardened steel frame, so hardened steel all around (no guessing, I tested all steel parts with a sharp file). The frame is tanged into the handle with zero play. This is the most comfortable roller in the three I've used, by a wide margin.

Chosen for sturdiness, not disappointed
I bought this to roll FixIt Tape when applying it on a textured surface and to add such a roller to my tools. The roller performed perfectly. I wanted a roller that would allow me to apply considerable pressure. Many similar rollers, appropriately referred to as J Rollers because the handle and roller shaft appear similar to the letter J, are supported on only one end; therefore, unless they are extremely sturdily built (and priced accordingly), attempting to apply firm , even pressure is not possible and often bends or breaks the roller. I don't intend to use the roller frequently; if I did I would want it to have excellent bearings in the rollers shaft, and the resultant roller would cost much more.. This roller turns smoothly enough for applying and smoothing tapes, banding, and narrow laminates, but I do not consider it a craftman-level tool. By the way, FixIt Tape is a great product; it is sealing two starred cracks in a shower pan until the shower can be replaced; I rolled the tape to help affix it tightly on the no-slip pebbled surface.

Nice Roller
Got this to use on a woodworking project. I was applying some edge banding to oak plywood using an iron to activate the glue on the banding. The roller was needed to ensure the banding securely attached to the edge of the plywood. The roller is sturdy and allowed me to apply sufficient pressure to make a good seal. The product is well built and should last a long time, which is good because I have another banding project to do. I would definitely recommend this product..

Quality Piece for the Price. Highly Recommend.
Wow used this to put on (Cofair WQR325 White 3"X25' Quick Roof Tape ) and it worked like a charm. Glad I picked this one over some of the others as this one feels more Quality with the wood handle. I have never had one before and now have used it for 3 different things. Really weird how that happens. 5 Stars on this all the way. Used it really tough on my roof for a bit and does not even look used at all. Quality Piece.

Almost Perfect !!
Built well, but.....The axel that the roller sits on extends past the metal sides a bit. This scratches anything that rubs against the sides. When rolling next to a wall, banister or anything the roller pin scratches or gauges. The sided should be solid on the outside and noting sticking out, maybe even plastic coated to protect nearing surfaces.Need to be careful when rolling up against anything, as I found out when I scraped my newly finished wood stairs. The only part that is poorly designed.Handle could be an inch longer...
