The pots a really nice I think. Unfortunately, they are a little shorter than what I really need. And I really only needed the big one. They come in a box lined with thick styrofoam all the way around. The pots are inside of each other separated with (at least the ones I received) some type of shoe factory material like thin foam rubber material with cutouts (the material they actually used to make the shoe or whatever). This is a fantastic re-use of clean factory waste. The pots where wedged in and took some wiggling to separate each pot (wedge them out of each other). But after that no problem. No cracks. There may have been a scratch but I think almost any retail outlet you go to - what pot doesn't have a single scratch. These were great and acceptable condition. Would make a nice gift. I'm impressed with the great packaging of these heavy and breakable items.

The pots themselves look beautiful and do feel well built, there is not much to say about the pots themselves but that they're nice. I was going to give this a 5 star regardless, but reading other reviews again it appears that my case wasn't an anomaly so I docked off a star as it's suggestive of a genuine problem. The problem is that that the largest pot was shipped broken; I'm not sure if it was the packaging itself (getting these pots out was honestly pretty hard and I thought I was going to break the second biggest one as well, it's possible they pack it too tight; the packaging actually appears great, but tight packaging is just as bad as loose) or if it was because Amazon failed to mark the outer box fragile.Both me and the FedEx employee set the box down pretty carelessly because we thought it was just a light non-fragile item (stack carried, I had other boxes I was getting at the same time I helped him with), but to my dismay when I opened the outer box, of course I see the actual box containing the pots marked fragile inside. I generally get damaged items, but normally they're only marks/scratches, this is the first time I've actually had a broken item, but like I said, it's possible that it was my fault because the outer box was not marked fragile but I suppose in the same sense, it should have been marked fragile (It's kind of a question of it being the chicken or the egg).My suggestion is when you buy this item, buy it as the only item so you're prepared. But given that they're a number of people saying they've received broken pots, I feel it's kind of a crap shoot; some or most of you will get lucky, some of you won't. Again, I'll note I'd under normal circumstances rate this a 5 (this is my first review though if I recall correctly) because they are genuinely very nice pots, but given 10 of the 29 current reviews (including mine) stated they received broken pots I feel it's only fair to give 4 stars. But in their defense, they are pots; pots are not exactly easy to ship carefully, especially overseas.

Looks great. Not too odvious from picture to me, but the stripes on mine look more like an olive green. Very sturdy internal packing - contrary to other reviewers, I regard this as a very good thing, as I have gotten a number of broken fragile items from other vendors due to insufficient packaging. The inside of the pots use 4 hard foam "wedges" to separate each pot. By pulling out the smallest packing wedge (which took a bit effort), and then sliding the wedges on each side of the first wedge around the rim to the side opposite the first wedge (instead of trying to pull them out), the pot can eventually be removed. This process took 2 minutes or less, so just be patient. (Larger wedges are too firmly wedged to be pulled out with all the wedges in their original positions.

The flower pots with the cobalt rim are very nice. I already knew that because I had bought a set elsewhere last year. What made it extraordinary was the service. The set arrived broken. I opted for replacement and got an RMA. UPS picked it up the next day. The second day, the replacement pots arrived in a box that rattled when I lifted it up. It had a broken mess inside, so I notified Amazon and decided to give replacement one more try and got an RMA. Much to my surprise I received the second replacement set the very next day, shipped via FedEx! The second set of broken pots was picked up one day later by UPS. Kudos to Amazon for their exceptional service, it was fast, efficient and without any hassles whatsoever.

I ordered these pots last week, and they reached me in a couple of days with typical Amazon-ian efficiency. However the pots were damaged, shattered or cracked. I requested a replacement, and again customer service was great - they immediately processed a free replacement which also arrived very quickly. However, to my dismay, the pots were again damaged despite the styrofoam packaging and foam strips between the pots. To do Amazon justice, they were very apologetic and immediately processed a full refund, but it's just too bad these beautiful pots were unusable. I am inclined to suspect handling mishaps during shipping, and hopefully this is a problem that can be fixed in the near future.5 Stars, however, for Amazon's exemplary customer service, and for the fact the pots looked pretty much exactly like the picture (except for that tiny detail of being broken).

Really nice pots at a great price. They are thick and solid without being too heavy. I use the small pot for an aspidistra and the medium pot for a taller dracaena. I turned the large pot upside down and put the medium pot with the dracaena on top which looks good in the corner of a room on its own without the need for a stand. Would definitely buy again if I get more plants. Be aware they do have drain holes in the bottom.
