Disney Maleficent Movie Costume Staff

This was mostly what I expected. It is hollow plastic so it's light and a tiny bit flimsy (for lack of a better word). No problem there! I filled it with foam insulate. Second, the jewel at the top is just stickers. Peeled them off, grabbed some metallic paint and went to town. It's everything I want it to be now. It could have been used straight out of the box I just wanted it customized.

Obviously I didn't expect real wood for the staff or glass for the orb, but the stickers really are pretty cheesy. I plan on removing them and doing my own metallic paint job instead. Overall, nice prop and looks fantastic from a distance. This item's description really should have a close-up of the "orb" so I've attached a photo of it.

So this honestly looks pretty good, until you move it around even in the slightest. The problem is that instead of being a rigid piece of plastic, it's actually hollow in the middle. This makes it wobbly to the point of almost appearing to be made of rubber. If you so much as tap the bottom on the floor, the entire thing shakes and wiggles around comically. I returned this, because it only looks good if you never touch it.

Don't get me wrong....I love Maleficent! She is my favorite Disney character of all time! When I searched for a staff to use for an Eleven Sorceress costume I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this gem! While it's plastic and comes in two pieces (so it may seem cheap) that just really means it's light-weight and easy to travel with which is PERFECT! It looks great, too!

This staff was perfect! Buy it! It is adult size, but could easily be cut down.

Well designed for the price. It's a bit small, obviously sized for a child instead of an adult (which is odd since the main site said it was supposed to match with an adult costume) but it's well made for a prop. Don't actually try to use it as a walking stick or twirl it around though. It's not fragile but it's still just plastic.

I figured this would be a plastic stick. When it arrived, it actually looked good. After some assembly it went perfect with the ram horns I ordered. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a staff. Remember it wasn't made to support your weight. So use it carefully. I will add a yellow led in the center of the orb to make it look even more realistic.

Very good, 4 stars purely because of the price and the ridiculously huge amount of packaging for one small item!Screws in easily, stands about 5 feet in height, solid but of course just a bit of plastic, however works well for my Maleficent costume.

Received the item and wasn’t happy to find out.. the 2 parts it comes in One part was missing inside screw the two together! I messaged them! They asked for photos, which I did without hesitation! NO response!!!!!! Absolutely disgraceful and I’m shocked £30 and I had to glue the thing together didn’t look too good and wasn’t strong enough! And also not forgetting been totally ignored!!

ideal for fancy dress look just as good as the one in the movie come in two part screw together so easy for putting away

Very realistic and well built. Just what was needed to complete the Look for a Halloween party! Careful though because people will want to take it from you and strut around with it!

pity the joint in the middle makes the staff weak and bendy, but otherwise gives good effect.
