These are just ok...plastic body will flex
While these are ok, they're not really good. When you use calipers, you need to have confidence in the device, or it can lead to undue frustration. Given the entire device is made of plastic, these flex (twist, etc.) and while it doesn't appear to effect the accuracy, I have no confidence in the reading, so I get my "good" calipers to double check. I lead with these cheap ones that I don't care if they get greasy, etc. and only use the better ones (Starrett) on clean surfaces. Anyway...I usually don't mind the prosumer nature of Tacklife stuff (I have several of their instruments), this one in particular I'd recommend you steer clear of...

Priced right and measures stuff close enough for me
I build cars in my garage that I expect to explode in some fiery and dramatic fashion. Case in point, I blew the front main seal out of my drag car on it's second trip down the track. I left my manual dial gauge caliper lay out while grinding and filled it with metal shavings and ruined it. I needed a replacement that was accurate enough without costing so much that my negligent treatment of my tools will ruin me. Enter this here digital caliper. I chose it specifically because I can easily pop the battery out of the front when not using it so I can hopefully keep the battery from going bad for a while. Other than that I measure stuff with it and generally abuse and mistreat the caliper but it keeps on working. Nuff said.

Ya get what ya pay for...
I bumped my rating from 3 to 4 due to the courteous CS. The seller was volunteering replacement due to review alone. I declined, the calipers do what I need... allow me to be careless with little cost. They're plastic as advertised... The battery cover was loose in the box, installed battery and still had to put a tape-stop on the cover. The auto-on feature is too sensitive, this thing seems like it will turn on bumping around, so I'm not expecting long battery life. I did get 2 of these cheap-O's for just tossing in the tool boxes. I have steel/quality calipers with the keep-safe tools. It's nice to have handy for drill, hole, screw sizing. The fraction display looks handy...

Not horrible
Obviously, this is not a professional quailty precision device, but rather a great tool for mostly accurate work at a great price. It definitely fills this niche well. The manual claims a repeatability of .1mm or .01", but the ones I recieved would vary in measuring the same items by about .3mm or about .035". This is fine for common measurements, but not sufficient for anything requiring high precision. I've bought both good calipers and cheap calipers, and these have the worst repeatability of any I own. I guess I'll usue them in the garage for measuring fastners, as it is plenty accurate for that.

Does the job, and the price is great.
This probably isn't the most version of this tool. It's mostly plastic, so the jaws will dent over time. It's basically disposable. But, for my casual woodworking use, it does the job, is more accurate than I need, and will last years. It was also really really cheap. This was a really good buy for my needs. I especially love that I found one in this price range that will handle fractional inch measurements.

Price considered, good value.
Okay, these are not going to help make the next Space X, and I would not trust them for anything critical, but when you just need to be close for some home 3D printer designs, they are totally fine. Problem areas really are only that it doesn't repeat measurements or slide open or closed to the same point perfectly well - but again close enough and pretty impressive for something so cheap! I bought three of them.

flimsy
Quite gadget. So far I love it. The conversion of decimal inch to fraction is unusual and extremely handy. Very thin and light and the numbers are small. Not made of metal. I don't know how long it will last but for the price it is amazing. Going to order two more for friends.

Can't beat it for the price
I am using this in my workshop mainly to measure wood thicknesses. Works great, is accurate for what I am using it for. Seems durable and easy to use, Nice that it has FRACTIONAL as well decimal and metric conversions. Easy to convert from one to the other with the push of a button. Also great for measuring dowels and hole diameters accurately. Nice Amazon find.
