This is the second one. Same thing battery dies and doesn’t shut off unless plug in . Otherwise it just keeps turning on or off . Until it dies . Has great pictures day and night.

It didn't come with the GPS attachment. They said it was discontinued. I let that go. Then it seems to work until I tried to retrieve a video of a hit and run. It had tons of storage and was set to roll over, but didn't. Then double checked the manual and I reset everything and made sure my memory card was recognized and working. Apparently it set itself to record from G-force (I had made sure this was disabled) and took lots of video of my driveway every time a loud noise or bump set it off. Re-read the manual and reset it again. Ran for awhile and looked like it was working until I was in an accident. None of the video was there because the it now didn't recognize the card. I tried to remove it and it was down INSIDE the camera unable to be removed!?!? I will have to break it open to get it out. I'm going to take great pleasure in prying it apart with a screwdriver and gutting it like a fish. WASTE OF MONEY.

Cam showed all systems working normally, recording and no errors. But when my wife got into a car accident and I put the SD card into my computer we discovered that the system recorded 2 months of video then stopped working, so she's been driving for a year with a recording light but not actually recording anything. Cannot recommend this camera after this experience.

Work for me for about a year. I purchased it based on the Amazon star ratings. Was happy initially, but when I checked to see footage of a collision, nothing was recorded for the event. Only only files were on the card. Some could even be read - methinks it has something to do when the power is turned off. I checked if I had forgotten to do loop recording, but that wasn't it. The camera would show a recording process, bit nothing would ever be recorded. I reformatted, deleted and eventually got another SD card, still nothing.Good piecce of mind while it worked. But now I'm leery of these dashcams.

I purchased this dashcam because I drive quite a bit and wanted something that could provide evidence in the event of an accident. It was a fairly reasonable price and had some features that I liked (e.g., wide viewing angle, loop recording, parking sensor); however, I would not recommend buying this dashcam. A dashcam needs to be reliable to be of any use and this dashcam is not reliable.Here are the cons I have experienced with this dashcam:-I've had this dashcam for a couple of years and I think the battery died within 6 months of purchase, so now the dashcam has to be powered solely by my car and the date has to be constantly reset if I unplug it.-The menu has cumbersome, non-intuitive controls for navigating the menus which is frustrating,-The loop recording feature randomly fails so the memory card will fill up and the dashcam will be on, but won't be recording. There is no indicator letting you know this has happened, so I ended up having to empty the memory card on a weekly basis. Because of this you can't count on the dashcam to be recording when you need it to.Overall, this is a unreliable long term dashcam and barely serves its core function. The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because it was somewhat cheap and did function passably for a few months.

It worked OK, though the manual is vague at times.Main advice: turn OFF Motion Detection.When recording, big red dot is flashing (small LED indicates power on)Car cigarette cable broke eventually, and shortened the car fuse :(I am now ordering Charging Power Cable for Dash Cam, (11.5 Ft) USB 2.0 to Micro USB Car Vehicle Power Charger Adapter Cord...The rubber suction holder can disconnect in hot weather while parked, but can be connected again.Dash Cam Mirror Mount Kit for ...Falcon F170... - I can't fit it to my Mercedes GLK :(

I've had this camera since 2016 and it's a great unit except that last year, it stopped looping recordings. I replaced the SD card, but same problem. Unless I want to delete all videos on the card every few weeks, it's worthless. Apparently the company is out of business without the courtesy of giving notice. One of the downsides of not buying a major brand I suppose. Disappointed.

I have been using this camera for about three years now and it still works as good as the day I put it in. Just in the last couple of days I bought another brand name because it has the rear window camera, which in heavy traffic you need to keep your eyes on all sides.
