I love this card!
I live this card, it works so well for everything. I run all games across three screens and I can get easily around 40fps on High settings. I am planning on getting a second card and running them in crossfire. The DD cooler is very quiet and shifts a lot of air.The only downside is the lack of a factory over clock, it has a very low clock speed out of the box. However it is very easy to overclock so won't be a problem.

Not very quiet but fast and easily overclockable. Best choice for this price

Nearly the same performance as a single 970
First off this wasn't for me as I have 2x nvidia GTX 970's in SLI, however the performance in this card almost a reaches the performance of a single 970 which I was quite surprised. This card actually having a legit 4 GB of V ram meant that a single card only just out performed my single 979 due to extra 500MB of Vram as skyrim requires a lot of Vram particularly if you are modding at a high stage. More to the point that this card got delivered in less than 15 hours and it's only around the £200 mark you can't go wrong. In my opinion I would rather have 2 of theses 290's rather than a single 980 as it would out perform it with ease and would code you around £50-75 less. Also to Intel and Nvidia fan boys who say "oh well you'll have a high electric bill" well I can safely say it would only be a £10 more a year and if you still complain about that then should you even be buying a PC at all? More to the point very good, we'll build and has a good FPS range on games. Will be going with AMD for my next build
