Spotweld Rotabroach Cutter Set Standard Pilot - 3/8 In

I liked the sharpness and hardness of these durable bits. I lightly center punched the work before use and the center pins kept the bits on point for the most part. Even when they slipped, I also used cutting oil which slicked things up a bit, they remained undamaged. I used one bit to remove the rear apron on a 68 VW bug. It still has life to remove another with ease. I was apprehensive about drilling out spot welds but after using these I will now tackle my floor pan removal without hesitation. I love these bits and you will too. Use a decent center punch, use cutting oil to lubricate before use and after every 3 spot welds removed, go easy until circular groove is established then rev up, and the bit will cut a neat circular pattern. You can hear the drill sound change when it cuts through the 1st layer. BUT, Keep pushing and it will drill all the way through... a nice clean hole which I will use to reattach the apron later.

Started rebuilding a 1969 ford bronco. Not realizing how ford put these things together I quickly learned a spot weld cutter was a must have. Looked on line and found tons of references to one from HF so I made the trip and picked one up. After getting started with the one from HF I quickly realized there had to be a better one out there. Ask the folks that use them all the time and got the same answer from 3 different body shops. Blair Cutter was the only one to buy. Man was I surprised at how much difference there is in it. This thing cuts spot welds out without any effort at all. The trick is to start slow and not put to much pressure on the bit. A center punch is also a must for proper operation. With a good punch the bit will not jump out of the spot. I can give this tool 5 stars all day long. Also use the rotobroach lube they have and the bits will last a long time. Great addition to my ever growing tool collection. Thanks for a quality product.

I was building a custom skid plate for an old WWII truck and needed to drill a bazillion 3/8" diameter holes for the Hot Rivets to go through. I literally drilled 276 holes with this kit, and using some Tap Magic cutting oil, I only dulled out one of the 3 bits cutting through A50 mild steel plate. I have these in many other sizes and love them.

Built to last. One bit has made close to 100 cuts and is still sharp with no broken cutting points. Exactly what I expect from US made products.

This spot weld cutter worked great! I used it on my classic mustang to remove the cowl. I cut like 100 spot welds with one tip and it’s still probably good for more use. I was using some other cheap ones and kept breaking the cutter and ruining the center tip. Don’t waste your money on cheaper ones.

Tried a cheap one from Harbor Freight, cut out ONE spot weld. This kit comes with three heads and I cut 25 spot welds and the first cutting head is still going strong. Great product, outstanding quality, recommend this one very highly

I would recommend never wasting your time with a different spot weld cutter. These Blair cutters are the best thing I have ever used and I'll never use the old style spot weld cutter again.

Drilled out the spot welds on a rusted radiator support for my project. Total of ~30 spot welds drilled and maybe ~25 of them were done on one cutter head. Excellent quality, if you need to drill spot welds, this will make it easy, and perfect.
