This is my third weighted blanket. I was a weighted blanket person before weighted blankets were cool (literally and figuratively). :) My first one was SUPER expensive and barely big enough to cover me...and hot like an oven. My second was better, but not by much. But this one, is by far the best I've had. I've had it for about two months and have washed it once. It was scary, and it took a while to dry, but it didn't destroy my washer, dryer, or the blanket, as I feared it might.The best things about it: It is truly a king-sized blanket and FULLY covers the bed. This means it stays put all night and you can easily stay underneath it and it doesn't slide off. The "cool" side does seem to help keep you cooler. No blanket is going to be truly cooling without providing some warmth, but this doesn't feel like an oven at night. I haven't flipped it over to experience the "warm" side yet, and I suspect I might choose not to since I tend to sleep hot year round. This blanket seems very well-made. The pockets with the glass beads are small and that keeps the weight distribution even. It's a very soft, snuggly, and heavy (we have the 40 pound one) blanket!So far I don't have any negatives at all to report. If I find any, I will absolutely update my review.One thing to keep in mind (and why we ordered the heaviest one we could), is that since the blanket is bigger and the weight is distributed across a larger area, you may want to go heavier than you would a smaller, more targeted size one to ensure you get the full benefit of it. But also keep in mind that a 40 pound king sized blanket can be bit of challenge to carry and move around (we won't even talk about when it's wet!!)I absolutely love this blanket and despite sleeping under a weighted blanket for years, I am sleeping better under this one than I have in years.

Wow wow wow. I got this delivered 2 days ago. Literally the best 2 nights of sleep I've had in years. I haven't slept this good since I was a teenager (34 now) I usually don't leave reviews but sweet baby jesus on a swaddling stick, I feel rested. (Not sure what a swaddling stick is but it sounds nice)I was worried about it not being a king sized blanket and just saying it was. It really is. I was also worried about it making me too hot when I sleep (6'3" 280lbs) since I run hot when I sleep anyways. This was not the case at all. I actually slept cooler than with my previous comforter that was clearly inferior. I used the silky side down. It's says it's cooling and they weren't lying.I will say it is pretty heavy. 40lbs doesn't sound like much but it is. I recomend do not take it out of the carrying case before you get it to your bedroom. That was a production. Haha. Even for me and I'm pretty strong. Mostly because it's heavy and super soft and silky like so it slips over itself. I definitely recommend the 40lbs though.These last 2 mornings I have felt so rested even my husband noticed I'm much more cheerful these past few morning and that's before coffee. I love no one before coffee and am mildly not friendly usually. It's crazy what a good night sleep will do.It seems a little expensive but it's definitely worth the price. You can't really put a price on good quality sleep.Do yourself a favor and get a weighted blanket. Hell, it doesn't even have to be this one (although there is no problems with this one. It's very true to description and I'm loving it)

The weight and true navy color are great, but the blanket slips on the top sheet. I often end up with quite a bit of the blanket on me while my husband has about half of what he starts with. I’m trying to figure out how to keep it in more place throughout the night. Nevertheless, we like the blanket and find it conducive to going to sleep quickly.

I got the gray blanket. I love how it feels on both sides. I definitely prefer the fluffy side down haha. From the 1st night I noticed an immediate difference in my sleep quality. I normally toss and turn all night keeping me from getting really deep sleep but this blanket is heavy enough that you just kinda snuggle into it without realizing. I've been falling asleep faster and staying asleep longer. I actually slept in today! That may not seem big to many but for someone that cant sleep this is huge. I normally go to bed around 10 but can never sleep and just lay there tossing all over the place to get comfortable. so I end up just getting up because i get bored of laying in bed lol. Usually around 3-4am. And yeah you might think that's 7hours how can you be tired still? But really I don't feel like I slept at all.That all changed with this blanket. Like I said I actually slept in today till 7! (Thats what prompted this review lol) After 2 weeks or so of using this blanket the bags under my eyes from lack of sleep are almost gone!!! I love this blanket and plan to order the cover for it when I can. So far it seems to be well made.Will update if I notice quality issues

This Blanket is very soft and really wraps around you nice. I do find it is very heavy when you are making the bed or if the sheets fall off and you want to quickly fix it the it is really heavy to drag

After reading so many reviews, while shopping for my blanket, here's how it went... we love it.

Love it. It's huge, and it is everything I've wanted in a blanket and now I have it. I rule!What's most enjoyable other than the great sleep and the ease to fall asleep, is making the bed. I move in my sleep but because of the weight and size, it stays put. So when I make the bed in the morning, it's simple and effortless.10/10 will have great sleep again

I thought I had done enough research on a weighted blanket. Research showed that you should order a blanket 10-15% of your own body weight, DO NOT trust that calculation. I borrowed my son's fifteen pound blanket and found it was pretty comfy so I purchased a 15 pound queen weighted blanket and found it was too light. (Not taking into consideration that 15lb would be disbursed over a queen size). I returned the 15lb and reordered the 30 pound. I live that fact that it truly does hug you. I am a very light sleeper, I toss and turn lot during the night and am constantly kicking blankets off. With this blanket, I have yet to kick it it off. Great purchase.
