Easy to Fly - It Stays Where You Leave It
This drone is great. Follow the instructions carefully, and you will get hours of enjoyment with the product. Great Pictures and Videos. I cannot overemphasize how easy it is to fly because of the auto hover feature of this drone. Very simple to operate. Like a 3 dimensional RC car. Simply get the drone to rise up off the ground to a height you are comfortable - and it hovers right there! - Then you can move forward, reverse, left and right. Its simple. The advance functions of follow me, circle me, fly to points on the map, and return to home all work very well. Watch the return to home and low battery return to home function. If you are still learning it can be a bit unsettling that the drone automatically goes into "return home mode" when the battery gets below 30%. A warning beep starts up and it just starts rising up (it has a preset height of i believe 40 or 50 feet-which u can change) and starts turning and then flys back to its original location and then decends to the spot where it took off. Make sure you are aware of this and are not under trees or power lines or have an obstructed line of site back to the original launch site. Remember that and you will be OK -- The reviews where it said it "just took off and flew away" were definitely someone not reading the pretty simple directions and probably experiencing this automated return to home function. (it does get unnerving the first time it happens and it seems like you cannot control it-- just keep your battery above 30% and u will be fine - and make sure u always have an unobstructed return path back to your launch point. (dont go behind buildings or past trees etc)Overall I have been very very impressed with it, the accessories and the case etc. Everything you need. Dont hesitate to buy - there are a ton of drones on the market for beginners - all very confusing write ups with little or no comparisons - this one worked out exactly what i was expecting .

2 days out of the box and learning fast
I received the drone 2 days ago. I spent some time on Youtube watching reviews and tutorials on this drone. There are many excellent how-tos out there which is nice. Potensic has a nice setup video. It was relatively easy to setup. I didn't quite understand the compass calibration but did after 30 minutes of watching the video and reading the printed instructions enclosed with the drone. The phone app setup was easy and pretty straight-forward.I am a cautious person and spent an hour yesterday and today playing with the drone basics. I feel pretty confident. I am very pleased with the resolution of the videos and photos. I can't believe the quality for under $200. I figured a few more days of playing in the open (I am in a rural area.) will make me more confident about flying it elsewhere. I want to take it on bike rides on trails.I don't have any major negatives. I did drop the controller while installing my phone the first time. I broke off a small piece of plastic that holds the left antenna to the controller body. It is very thin plastic and you need to be careful with unfolding the antennas. I have a Gallaxy Note 9. The phone just fits in the holder. I could not put it in the controller with a case.Bottom line: I think it is a good purchase and good quality. It will take me a few weeks to run it thorough its abilities. I am a newbie to drones and not an expert by any imagination.

Easy for beginner to use
I have a helicopter but it stresses me out to fly but this little drone does a great job in making you feel comfortable on your first flight. Any wind is noticeable it how it handles but so far even in a light breeze it does pretty good. (i guess). The return to home feature works well and it lands within a few feet of take-off. The initialization was a little confusing at first but with ample video reviews on Youtube I got it going and have been having a good time with it. It is not a Mavic Pro like my son has but it also costs 1/4 of what that drone costs. The video quality has been very good even with my flight skills. I would recommend it as entry level drone for anyone that wants to get started quick.

Another made in China forget about it
Once again not able to finish gyro calibration. Unit pairs fine, horizontal gyro calibration good, vertical not at all. Nothing about it in troubleshooting, nor is there any way to get product support. Can’t tell you if it’s easy to fly, you have to calibrate first.

Awesome products and even better support
I purchased a Potensic D58 4 weeks ago. The learning curve to fly this Drone was very flat, and I was able to fly this Drone immediately. I had some minor questions as I was learning the features of the drone, and communicated with Potensic support via email. My questions were answered with detail in a timely manner within 24 hours (I believe the support group is 12 time zones ahead from where I am located in the US). Two weeks into flying the D58, I decided I wanted to upgrade. I researched and had it down to 2 drones (Potensic D88, and a competitive), which had very similar features. The support from Potensic with my questions on the D58, are what made my final decision, and I purchased the D88. The support didn't stop there. I had an issue last Saturday with my D58, where the drone didn't have an impact crash, but flipped upside at the landing. This resulted was that the front motors no longer being able to be powered up and turn. I assumed that the motors burned up trying to turn, while layup side down blocked by the grass. I communicated with Potensic support, and they provided videos on how to remove the motors for troubleshooting. I in turn, sent videos back of what I was seeing on the drone during my troubleshooting. I was prepared to purchase new motors, but they were not convinced it was a motor issue. After some communication, Potensic support sent an email that they would order a replacement drone and have it shipped to me, and it will arrive in 1 week. This is incredible support, and I would recommend anyone looking to get into flying drones, and even advanced fliers, to purchase Potensic products.
