Wii Black Console with New Super Mario Brothers Wii and Music CD

I bought my girlfiend one for Christmas a few years ago, her and I absolutely love it! I bought this one for my brother for his birthday, he is all grown up, but who doesn't like a toy still for Christmas or Birthday?? I know I do. Some people complained that this one doesn't play game cube games... well, you probably paid a lot less for this one than the original version a couple years ago, right? I know I did! So pick up a used game cube for $40, still less than what you would have paid for the original Wii that had that capability anyway! With this bundle you can't go wrong! I may buy another one and throw it under the bed and sell it for $800 in a few years! Nintendo will stop making these relatively soon with the Wii U just coming out! Speculators understand this concept... if you don't play video games this truly could be purchased as an investiment that gets about a 20% APR to it!

I bought this after my original one was stolen in a break in a couple years back. I was finally around to replacing it.One really nice things about the Wii was that it was also a GameCube. They had a top flap that came up and you could pop the controllers and memory cards in and play the old console's games. NOT SO ANYMORE. With this specific model's release, the backwards compatibility was taken off. Note there's nothing said about the backwards compatibility, and I just assumed since it was, at the time, to my knowledge, a standard feature. I returned this as it was useless to me and I don't want my games rendered unplayable because they decided to drop what was once a standard feature.I scoured pawn shops until I found the one I wanted, and that has proved more than worth it.

I've read a lot of less than five-star reviews for this new Wii package but I have a different perspective on it.I bought this for a family member who has never owned a Nintendo Wii and doesn't care for the game Mario Kart but loves Super Mario Bros. So this was a win-win product solution for me. It just depends on who the product package is for and their likes/dislikes. I'm concerned the negative reviews are going to make first-time buyers think there are other issues with the gaming console. If I bought the bundle that included Mario Kart, I would have had to buy Super Mario Bros separately, adding about $50 more to the cost. And not everyone cares about playing Nintendo GameCube titles, it's just a preference.If anyone is a hardcore Wii user, I can't imagine they would consider this product anyhow, just wait for the next version of Nintendo Wii to be released in the near future.Game On!

My oh my when I say I keep this secret and when delivered I opened the box and my youngest(19) Son yelled to his big brother(22) time to settle some feuds how you wanna handle it tennis or baseball and his brother jumped up cause he knew it was a Wii The game works great I'm enjoying Mario like I'm a kid again and could not have asked for a better product

Well i got the nintendo wii cuz i sold my old one to get something great and new, but i did not know that was not backward with Gamecube games, and that i'm give 3 stars to this particular bundle, the wii looks awesme, but when i tried to play Luigi's Mansion the wii gives you an error that was unable to read the disc, besides the nintendo wii does not come with the stand or pedestal anymore, so you will have to get it from a different vendor if you like the wii stay vertical position. Well that was it, hopefully this will help you, if you just play nintendo wii this will be cool console, but if not try to get the mario kart bundle, this one is backward with nintendo gamecube games...... :)

We owned the original White Wii. After about 7 years we started to have remote communication issues.Our children love the Wii, but we are not ready to buy the new advanced version that came out the past couple of months.I found the Black Wii and read the remotes have better sensor and communications. The Black version worked perfect out of the box. My son, the expert, said the controls work way better than the white. Good buy. Now instead of spending a ton to buy the new advanced Wii, we have several more years of Mario Bros, Madden NFL, NBA 2K13, MLB2K13, Zumba, and many more. Not to mention the family favorites, the original Wii Sports!
