Well made durable product
This is a very straight forward product. It works as intended. The rope is long enough that it would work for a very tall person which I am not. The handles are hard, but that is not a complaint. If they were soft or padded, this product would probably not be a durable. Great product that I highly recommend for anyone trying to bulk up their forearms or get the veiny look going.

Great forearm work and can add more weight once you need it
Great workout tool. Definitely feel the burn. Not too many single pieces of equipment of there that can help you hit the forearm but this one is great and small enough to store anywhere. Easy to use and adjustable to add weight once you get there.

Great for the $
This is great for your average joe who wants something to work out the forearms at home. The grips are alright, it's more of a soft foam handle, which didn't last too long after 20 or 30 uses, but it's nice to have versus the metal, or wooden ones, although arguably less durable. For myself, I only max this out at ~15lb or so. As for the cord that holds the weight, it's a lightweight rope with some extra stretch. At first it started to stretch out bit-by-bit, but it eventually reached its max, so I'm assuming that it won't break or wear anymore. The mechanism that holds the actual weights is pretty nice to use. It has a simple finger lever system, which goes on and off incredibly easy, and then just latches back on after adding a more weight. Overall, I would recommend this for anyone that just wants something that can get a pretty decent workout with a simple system on the cheap.

Simply, it works. Well made and my existing plates fit right on.

Make your own for less and a better experience.
The rope is somewhat elastic which kills the point of this as a tool. You want the energy from the wrist curl to directly go into the weight being carried, not making it bounce all over. The stand that holds the weights is a joke. Remove it and just loop the rope around the weights. The carabiner is sharp btw, so make sure you don't cut the rope. The grip is not great and how the rope comes out of the center of the bar is... interesting. Just buy a rope, carabiner, and stick.

Works, but not optimal - bad design decisions
Works as intended but there are two key issues: The rope is not static, that means it bounces and has an initial amount of slack that you must work through before it gets taunt/tight. This is quite unfortunate... The stack that you place weight on, has a lugnut on the bottom for some reason... This is very bad design. It means you can't place it on the floor to put the weight on, without it falling over. Such bad design.

Very pleased with this device.
Works very well. Can feel a good burn in my forearms after a couple of rounds with even just a 5lb plate on it. It is very easy to load, unload, and use. The construction is very good and better than expected for the price. All metal construction with a strong feeling rope, and nice textured rubber hand grips. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it is built. My only complaint I can think of is that when using a 2-inch plate on it, the rod is quite thin, so the plate slides and sits at an angle. It would be extra nice if it came with a spacer or something for 2-inch plates to hold the plate flat, but that's being nitpicky. All that said, the plate stays securely on the base and isn't at risk of falling off or anything like that, and it works very well for the intended purpose.
