Full Grain, burnished bridle leather,Gun Metal finish buckle,Carhartt logo heat stamped on leather keeper and tip Review: The best belt I have ever owned and maybe the last one I need to buy for years. - Have had this belt for about 2 years and it is of exceptional quality and durability. The belt is made of real leather, not bonded or stitched. It is a very simple style that goes well with anything. Look closely at the product photo and the 2-tone color scheme can be seen. The belt is brown leather BUT one edge of the belt is dyed in black, the other in a red. The effect is a very muted 2-tone color that is indistinguishable but allows the belt to go with blacks, browns, or reds. Quality-wise is is what I expect from Carhartt. Fit., finish, strength, and utility are excellent. You could buy a black belt and a brown belt somewhere else and not get the longevity and use out of the two combined. So far the belt has not bent around the back belt-loop, has not scratched, and there is nothing to peel loose working in it. Review: Excellent Belt, Just Not My Size - I looked at belts for quite a while before selecting the Carhartt Men's Anvil Belt. I sought out reviews and viewed photos of the product using the magnifier, just to see what kind of construction they had. I was impressed, to say the least. These belts are genuine leather and solid pieces, not thin strips with paper fillers sewn together. Very impressive. The buckle construction is chunky and heavy, very durable. All-in-all, a belt I WISH I could wear. I am at the weird end of the spectrum body-type-wise, and am quite skinny. I have a 30" waist and this belt, as nice as it is, just doesn't fit me. Carhartt belts all start at 34" and go up from there. So, even on the last hole position, it's still just a bit too big, and it leaves a lot of extra belt to have to tuck in. SO, I gave it to my son who has a 32" waist and it fits him great! He loves it. I just wish Carhartt would make belts for us small guys! I love their products and wear the Men's Twill Work Pants everyday! That's what got me to looking at more of their product line, the pants are excellent, so maybe other Carhartt products are good too. And they are. Just not my size. Oh well. Hope this helps you. The belt is very nicely constructed and well finished, but you better have a 32" waist or larger to be able to wear it.

One week shy of 10 years when it gave out
The buckle broke through the leather on mine this morning after 10 years of daily wear. For $35, you can't beat a decade of life honestly. Great belts.

Good everyday belt.
I like the belt overall. I use this as my everyday jeans belt. Not the best quality, but reasonable for $25. I have bought 2 of these (different sizes) as I have been gradually losing weight so I needed to get a smaller size. I have a size 44 which is actually 51 inches for the actual lenght of the leather part of the belt, not including buckle. I also have a size 42 which has an actual belt lenght of 48 inches, not including the buckle. So it is a 3 inch difference between one belt size. The belts also have a two hole overlap, meaning the last hole on the bigger size belt appears to line up with the second hole of the smaller size belt. I typically wear jeans in a size 38-40 depending on the brand. My perfect fit for the belt is currently in between the 2nd and 3rd holes on the size 42 belt. The 2nd hole is a little loose and the 3rd hole on the belt is on the tight side. In the picture the buckles were even so this is how much difference there is in the lenghts. Also, I had worn the longer one for about 2 years and you see can see in the picture that the belt held up fairly well for being worn everyday.

Good product, Made in America, for a great price.
The belt is a stiff leather that provides good support. When I say stiff I do not mean that as in a stiff pair of shoes that need to be broken in. I mean the leather is of a good thickness that should not break down of begin to bend over. Also, since it is all leather it should not have the peeling problem that layered belts have. I once bought a belt that was a fabric backed leather. Within a year the leather started coming off. When I first saw the picture of the belt I was a little concerned about the buckle size and the fact that I could not switch the buckle out because there are no snaps. But after receiving the belt and wearing it I am happy with the buckle. This is a well made, Made in America, for a very reasonable price belt. I had actually looked up Made in America belts when I found these. I bought two, one in black and one in brown, since the price was so reasonable. Also, I have found the belt to fit true to size. If you measure for a belt correctly and order the right size you should not have a problem. Remember, your pants size is NOT your belt size. I am extremely happy with these belts and recommend them.

Understated fashion and good quality
I needed a sturdy belt to help keep my too-loose pants secure while working at a physically fast-paced environment. There was as much wear and tear as you would expect at the buckle/pinhole area after daily use for a year. Still, the belt did not fray, nor did the buckle chip. The design was not particularly attractive, but muted which was the aesthetic that I was going for. Additionally, the matte black (instead of silver) of the buckle gave it an understated yet modern flair. As for the material of the belt - it didn't feel luxurious, yet it also didn't feel cheap. It was hard as plastic but smooth and somewhat soft. It felt like a $30 belt if that makes sense. I was perfectly happy with it, but please note that I stopped wearing the belt after a year because I no longer needed it (change of work and dress code requirements). Furthermore, I threw it away because it reminded me of all the terrible experiences I had while wearing it. Still, I cannot blame the belt for that and must give it 5 stars as I am unable to provide a reasonable warranting 4 stars instead.

Classic Durability, Great Value, Minimal Signs of Decline with Intense Use
I purchased this belt to replace a Carhartt model that survived nearly 15 years of heavy use (farm work and contracting). While many note a decline in Carhartt’s overall quality, I haven’t seen that yet in their leather goods—especially belts. Build Quality: • Leather finish and grain are consistent with the high standards I’ve come to expect from Carhartt. • The buckle cladding appears slightly cheaper—likely tempered steel or an aluminum mix—but this doesn’t compromise function, only aesthetics upon close inspection. Fit and Wear: • True to size; I’m a 32x30 and opted for a slightly shorter tail for a cleaner fit. • Versatile enough for daily wear and presentable enough to pair with slacks and a casual sport coat. Durability Expectation: • Based on past experience with Carhartt belts, I expect 10+ years of reliable use. • This is my sixth Carhartt belt, and all have performed consistently across years of wear. Verdict: Solid craftsmanship, fair pricing, and trusted longevity. Carhartt’s belts remain a smart investment if you prioritize durability and understated style.

Second Purchase of This Belt And I'm Disappointed Now
I bought this belt five years ago because it was inexpensive and was full leather, not bonded or sewn around a cardboard core. That belt lasted me for five years. It was an excellent belt. I wore it every single day, all day, through rough activity and fancy social functions and it was sturdy and looked good. Finally, the snaps holding the belt buckle on started to stretch out of their settings so I relegated it to backup and decided it was time to buy another one. I went to my purchase history here on Amazon and hit re-order. I'm sad to say that even though I bought the exact same style and size, from the exact same listing, this isn't the same belt that lasted me for five years. One, it's smaller. It still fits but instead of being on the fourth hole to close around me, it's the first (they're using less leather in other words for the same size). The buckles is sewn in, not snapped in. This would be good because the snaps are what started going on my last belt but the sewing is a single row of thin stitches. I have a feeling it's going to fail a lot faster. Finally, the leather. The leather of my last belt was fairly thick and you could tell it was leather. This belt? Thin. In fact when I took it out I at first thought it was vinyl masquerading as leather. Overall, I think the belt will do OK service and the price certainly is still decent but Carhartt has definitely started cutting corners on their products in the last few years to save a buck and I have a feeling that when this belt goes, probably in way less time than the last, I'll be looking elsewhere.
