best solder on market?
this is the best solder i have ever used. the flux rate of 3% is better than the 1.8% you'll find here. It might seem expensive at first butt if you do the math on some of the other cheaper solder like austra, you're paying more per pound.

Quality over price here it might cost you more than most other solders but it delivers
What can I say about this product well there's a reason that they're one of the best in the world because they put out great products they're solder is multiple at low or high temperatures withstands high temperatures and high currents and withstands the test of time not like some solders that as soon as you put it to your tip starts to burn off immediately not this stuff you can actually have it set on there and work with it and do multiple little sections of soldering before having to wick it off Great product can't say enough well worth its price

Amazing
This is the best solder iv ever used. I couldnโt find my good iron so used some cheap $9 iron I found on Amazon, the iron was basically a steel rod left in a fire with a handle. The solder still flowed excellent. I honestly probably wonโt buy anything else.

Level up to this!!!
I WAS reordering leaded .8mm at 100grams per roll. Finally paid attention to the Kester seemingly expensive solder, but doing the math for a 1 pound roll, it works out well! It DOES still shine when cooled, which is a huge contrast to the cloudy look of the "cheap stuff". that happens to make it easier to check the work under magnification. MOST importantly, this solder flows MUCH better than the off name brand. I thought the ugly work was my iron or tip, but turned out to be the weird named solder! I definitely recommend upgrading to Kester if you have been use to the light rolls of Chinese off brands. I got another roll of .5mm wire for SMD work and am much more confident working the micro stuff now

The best.
I previously used Kester 44 for decades, and recently decided to try a similar product from BG Chem. That worked OK despite the flux leaving behind more residue than Kester. This was until I got halfway through the spool where the solder had no flux. I pulled layer after layer off the defective spool until I saw smoke again, indicating rosin content. I was left with only a small amount of useable solder. That never happened with Kester 44. So I ordered more 44 from amazon, and tossed out the 'other brand' in the bin where it belongs. Now I'm back to not worrying about my solder, and of course I'm having excellent results.
