Mixed feelings about this
4 gig DDR2 seemed like the answer to being able to put 16 gig on a motherboard until I found that very few ddr2 mobos support more than 8 gig total. I was able to use 2 of these without any problems, but when I added 2 more it would never boot. Then I looked at the literature and found that support chips designed for ddr2 memory never expected anyone to need more than 8 gig...

Good price for 4gb DDR2 memory
I ordered this memory to upgrade from 4gb (2x2gb modules)to 6gb (2gb + 4gb). My AMD Shuttle system recognized this memory instantly. I didn't have to change any BIOS settings. It works just fine installed with the existing Crucial 2gb module in the other slot. Both are DDR2 PC2-6400 800mhz. I looked at other 4gb DDR2 modules and the prices are very high compared to DDR3 memory. That's why I ordered one of these for $51, instead of spending $129 for a pair of Patriot DDR2 2x4gb gaming modules or over $200 for a pair of DDR2 2x4gb Crucial modules. I'm not a gamer and I don't plan to overclock my system. I just needed more memory to run VirtualBox clients on my Linux Mint system. This memory works just fine with 64 bit Linux Mint. I can even share more System memory with my onboard graphics now. Great low budget 4gb DDR2 memory upgrade!

Not many manufacturers making DDR2 4GB CL6 800MHz DIMMs. This one plugged in and works with my existing 4GB non-Patriot memory. System is noticeably faster, especially when running virtual machines.

Exactly What I Hoped For!
I have an HP m9516c Windows 7 64 bit computer which I purchased in October 2009 (3 years ago). It came with 8 gigs of DDR2 memory with a max capacity of 16 gigs. I wanted to get up to 12 gigs, so I replaced 2 of the 4 slots with these 4 gig sticks.Installation was easy, no glitches, the computer came up recognizing 12 gigs perfectly. Went from 8 gigs to 12 gigs with no problems in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend at this point, but will update if any problems arise.
