Surprisingly powerful
I was happily surprised at how powerful this saw is. Made short work of the trees in my yard. Light as well. Happy with my purchase

Works well- usually
It’s a great electric chainsaw, but does have a couple minor problems. First, and most importantly, it doesn’t run when the battery is cold. Full charge and under 45 degrees- it will tease you by starting up, but then stops as soon as it touches the wood. Second, the chain slips off on me pretty often. Maybe I’m just not being proactive enough with tightening, but it happens a lot to me. Other than that, I love it. It cuts great and is easy to maintain.

This saw kicks butt!
I own a few of Ryobi's 40 volt tools. I love them all for their power, battery life, convenience & ability to get the job done. This chainsaw did not disappoint. It has amazing power and battery operation makes it so convenient.

Ryobi Rock's!
A lot more than I expected. Powerful little sucker! I used it to cut two maple trees and did the job well, although for what I used it for a 16" would have been better. Maple trees were over 14". Love that all my Ryobi tools use the same battery. I bought the lawnmower first and was so happy with it I stuck with Ryobi. Worth the money!

BEAST! I love this saw!
I wish it hadn't killed my only good battery forcing me to go back to the 24" petrol saw. With that said, I used this Ryobi to fell 15 trees in a day. Albeit they weren't huge trees but still 20 to 30 footers. I'll buy another 40v battery just so I can have this to use on the ranch. Does eat through a battery with a quickness. FYI.

Annoyed and frustrated
Purchased because of price and reviews. Gave the product as a gift. It came just loose in a regular box like someone packed it from their garage. There was no battery or charger included - and while I see that stated now on the listing I had spent HOURS researching and selecting the purchase and at the time I truly do not believe it mentioned no battery. But whatever, I took the daily and went and bought the recipient a battery. We live in New England so at Christmas time we didn’t have a reason to fully unbox, put together and use the chainsaw. We just pulled it out and realized - there’s no guide bar to put the chain on!!! We had… I guess stupidly assumed… that inside the scabbard case would be the guide bar. But it’s empty! All we got was the machine, the chain, and the scabbard. It’s all COMPLETELY USELESS. And now outside the return window.

Great Chainsaw Once You Buy a New Chain
This is the first chainsaw I have ever owned so when I got it I spent some time getting familiar with taking it apart and learning about chain tension. When I finally had everything tuned I filled it with oil and tried cutting something with the provided chain. I was surprised when the cutting was going slowly and the wood started smoking. I thought chainsaws were supposed to cut things super quickly right? The bottom line is that the chainsaw is great, but you should expect to have to buy a new $20 chain immediately if you buy this.

Quiet and Powerful
Outside cutting for several hours on just one battery. Its not like your standard chainsaw but very quiet and cuts Like a hot knife through butter.Pros: After1.5 hrs of cutting battery final ran down, swapped for a fully charged battery and I kept going. No gas to mix or spill. Very quiet but very powerful.Cons: When you release the trigger you need to let the motor die all the way down before re-engaging. A little annoying at first but after learning how to work with it not so bad.
