Two The Hard Way

This album was pilloried at the time although I suspect it was aimed at completely the wrong market and was probably judged by those whose opinions were shaped by the popular media of the day. The album cover and the pair's nom-de-plume wouldn't have helped in the slightest, but this is one of the strongest soul/R&B albums of the era. Really well played and really well sung, their relationship was at a state by this time where they could emote with a true resonance that really helps make this album genuinely more heartfelt and better delivered than most albums of it's ilk. And the band are peerless. A true classic. It's a crying shame that it's only recently got it's CD release, however, they mightn't have bothered as this truly brilliant album is marred by being one of the absolute worst CD transfers I ever heard. Seek out a vinyl original.

I've always loved this album. My wife bought it for me as a bitrthday present more years ago than I can remember. Many people give Gregg Allman a hard time for lowering his standards with this but I still listen to it every now and then. Definitely worth a listen.

Overall good. I'm a fan of the Allman Brothers but wasn't sure what to expect with this. Some very good tracks in particular the cover of the Four Tops' Do What You Gotta Do. Definitely worth buying.

Excellent service. Prompt arrival. Terrific album. Worth buying if only for their version of Jimmy Webb's DoWhat You Gotta Do - which Jimmy himself arranged.

An album that has been a bit unfairly treated over the years. Basically, Greg gives it his all and Cher.. well, Cher is Cher. Still good though.

Great but the vidio was better

This is a great album. Didn't like it back in 77, but tastes change! Well worth a listen.
