The Poet Edition: Magnetic Poetry Kit

Bought as a gift for a friend’s birthday and they are a huge hit! I’m thinking of setting a set for myself now

Great gift for friends and family (or for yourself). Adheres well to the fridge door and other metal surfaces that will hold a magnet. The display of words invites poetry, witticisms, conversations, clever notes, and other expressions of creativity. Pro tip: if your work breakroom has a fridge, put a kit there when no one is looking and watch the fun begin!

it's a fun product that comes with a lot more words than one would think. The only issue i have is the lack of good "every sentence" type words. The pack has a good number of obscure words but i find myself having trouble crating the "poems" I'd like to with their selection

I have the standard edition and have used it on a metal "bulletin board" (bought from a Scandinavian big-box store) which I keep on the wall outside my art studio. The studio is in a building with other artists, so people passing by add a word or line, and over time a poem evolves. Over the past year or two, I have "collected" each poem, and then recently I put the poems together into a collection, in an edition of handmade chapbooks, and gave them away to all the people on my hallway. I bought this "Poets" edition (and a 2nd metal bulletin board) to add more word choices and more space for creating "communal poetry".

I got this for my friend for Christmas, and sometimes we use it together and it's a lot of fun. I love the selection of words! Only complaint has to do with the packaging-- I wish there was velcro or something to hold the box closed. You could probably add it yourself if you want though.

Cute gift for the writer in your life. Good price and the magnets stick. No problems, would buy again!

This is a wonderful tool for students to use for poetry practice; even grammar practice. All the magnets come in a small, clear plastic case. Also included is a little booklet with helpful ways on how to use the magnetic poetry. The only thing I dread is cutting out all 400 words...but either way, it will be great! My students (and myself) will have fun with it!

Good variety of word and can be used as a teaching tool or for writers block.

The game is great, I just think the choice of words could be easily improved.

If you would like to make up big sentences, one box is not enough! Some important words are too few, such as some verbs or conjunctions. Would be nice to have more of them!

Love this poetry kit. I have it on the freezer door of my fridge at eye level... several good poems have spontaneously come out of it already. It's quite nice to pause periodically while doing routine kitchen chores... random words just seem to jump out at you, and the next thing you know, a poem is being born.

My daughter doesn't ask for much and this was something she asked for specifically. She loves it. She and her spouse create personalized messages that they look forward to finding and brighten their wee home.
