This replaced a cheaper dusk to dawn light fixture. The old fixture stopped working after only two years. This new one was more expensive but I believe we’ll worth it. The waterfall glass panels are beautiful. The light output is the equivalent to a regular 60 watt bulb. This is enough to illuminate the area but not bright enough to draw bugs to it. That’s my favorite part of this fixture. However a higher wattage can be used, according to product details. We have floodlights in the backyard for when we need lots of light. But for a light fixture that will be staying on all night, we didn’t want very bright. So this one is perfect.

I INSTALLED 8 OF THESE AFTER I HAD TO PITCH THE 8 MUCH HIGHER PRICED EXISTING LIGHTS WITHOUT SENSORS, PURHCASED AT HOME DEPOT.IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE BULBS BECAUSE THE SCREWS THAT HELD THE GLASS BULBS WOULD NOT COM OFF. NOT ANY EXPENSIVE ANTI CORROSION UNLOCKING PRODUCT WORKED.WHEN I BOUGHT THE LAMPS I ALSO BOUGHT STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS AND COATED ALL OF THEM WITH PETROLEUM JELLY.THESE LAMPS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND OPEN AT THE BOTTOM TO MAKE CHANGING THE BULB EASY.

This lantern was overall easy to install and the LED bulb is very bright at night. The motion sensing seems to work well even under the overhang of my front step. Install advice: 1) remove the glass during installation to avoid breakage 2) investigate the old wiring and mounting first in case you need to make adjustments to the mounting. (I forgot to correct the angle due to the siding.) Depending on your existing wiring you may need to source different wire nuts. The lantern had a flaw in the metal casting on the front, but I was able to turn that part of the lantern around so the flaw is in back. I looked at way too many porch lights and this one has a decent appearance for the price.

My house faces North, and I worried about the photocell not working properly. This one works great. It came with a 60w equivalent led bulb, but I thought it seemed too bright for my taste. Bought: A 3 Pack of Vintage Edison LED Light Bulbs, Emotionlite Dimmable E26 Bulb, 4W(40W Equivalent), Amber Yellowish, 2200K, ST64 Teardrop, which worked great for me. I liked the yellowish light better than the white light it came with.

We received these out door lights in record time! They were easy to install. I like the sensor on the lights because there is no longer a need to turn the lights on and off. They light up as soon as dusk falls and are off by the time we get up in the morning. A plus when we are away on vacation. I also like that the bulbs screw in from the bottom. No need any longer to mess around with screws to open up the lightbulb compartment. More times than not I would drop the screw and have to scramble around looking for it! We purchased these because the other upward facing lights butted up against our soffit and it made it virtually impossible to get to the light bulb area for changing them out. I highly recommend these lights!

Works great and I love the light sensor feature.

First of all I did quite a bit of research, which showed me what was available. The ones I did not choose, were almost twice the cost of this Wall Lantern and did not have a look for the cost. This Lantern looked expensive and really looked the same if not better than the others I saw. The Lantern turns on as soon as it becomes dusk and goes off as soon as there is light. I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend this item wholeheartedly, the company I dealt with lived up to their advertisement.

Came as described. FYI, I thought it has motion detector too, but it is not, I did not read details as I should have. Light bulbs included are really nice and bright. Comes on when dark, but not it is just very cloudy out, which I like.
