Coats & Clark Inc. RED Heart Comfort Chunky Yarn, Smoke

I'm so glad Red Heart came out with a chunky #5 weight yarn. Their Comfort Chunky is perfect for hats, scarves, fingerless gloves, mittens and the like. It recommends a 6.5mm K hook, but I find it makes a nice scarf in the grant stitch using an L 8.mm. In my opinion, whatever your project, if you're thinking of if you're looking for a bulky yarn, you need to check out Red Heart's Comfort Chunky. You won't be disappointed.

solid product, good value. Not the softest, but a good weight and texture for what I needed. Seems durable too.

Convenient size for a long scarf with pockets, 2 skeins should do it. There are, however, many manufacturers' knots in a skein this size, this novice discovered, so watch out. The yarn is a bit scratchy, but it won't be touching my face or bare neck, and should be quite warm, so it's all good.

Love this yarn, already. I bought this type of yarn in other colors, and have liked using them. I bought white, to be able to use that as accent color in my projects.I already used this white, to provide such accent. Love this yarn. Has alot of strong texture. The color is snowy white, and I love working with this yarn. The yarn looks textured, and is a good addition to snow and Christmas projects.

The color is accurate. It's a good quality yarn, it's very easy to work with. Satisfied with it.

Easy to work with. It is not soft like Caron yarn.

Although the yarn is chunky n bulky it is Easy to knit with and provides a nice finished product. Comfy

Even though this yarn is labeled “comfort” it is actually quite rough and scratchy. Not exactly what I had expected. Very disappointed

I knit for charity and this yarn is awesome for chunky hats - very few joins in the yarn so that’s very desirable

I needed a heavy black yarn to finish a project and this worked just fine. Price was reasonable and it was easy to work with.
