They work very well on narrow grout space. If you have not yet purchased the Grout Gator system, measure your tiles well because the standard size works only on tiles that are 12 inches or less and for wider grout spaces. The large size is much more expensive and not the one generally advertised.

I have a bathroom floor that is two-thirds 1" tiles, one-third 2" tiles; narrow grout between all. These V-shaped beveled brushes make the Grout Gator the first brush I've found that really gets into the grout lines and cleans them. You can place the brushes in whatever pattern you need to make them fit your tile pattern exactly. It takes a some time to set up since you have to space the brushes individually and tighten them, so if you have a lot of tiles of different sizes you won't want to keep re-arranging the brushes.I also bought the extension pole and was able clean the grout much more easily, quickly and thoroughly than using either a standard broom brush or getting down on my hands and knees to scrub. The brush has a slight rocker shape at the end, so I could get it right into the very end of the grout line.In response to one reviewer's comment that you can't get the brushes on: it does take some effort to push them onto the Grout Gator, but once you get them over the edge, they slide fairly easily to position. I am older and on the weaker side and I was able to do it. If arthritis is a problem, you'll probably need help with the set-up.
