ALPS Mountaineering rectangle floor savers are a great addition to any tent purchase. They are cut a little smaller than the dimension of the tent floor and have a webbing loop on the corners, which makes it easy to pull and stake out with the tent stakes. Simple, fast and all at a great price.

Harbor Freight
Made of the same mat'l as the tent - thin nylon - does fit well with securing straps - while you need a footprint you'd be WAY better served by going to Harbor Freight and buying a much cheaper much stronger tarp AND have some extra material for under both of the vestibules ! Thank me later

Measurements
We're impressed with this "floor saver" so far. It will be a few weeks before we actually use it with our new Alps 4person tent . Took it out of the stuff sack tonight to check it out. It measured 96.5" L x 83.5" W and hopefully willbe a perfect fit for our new tent. We measured the thickness at 4 mils (0.004"). Our really cheap HF tarp is just over5 mils. The Tyvek ground cover or "floor saver" we used on our old tent is 7 mils thick. I read all the reviews regarding how this "floor saver" is a little thin but proceeded with the purchase anyway. The cost vs. time spent finding a cheaper or thicker alternative was a "no brainer" for us. We've been down that path many times over the last 20+ years and were never happy with the cheaper alternatives. Only giving it 4 stars for now since we haven't actually used it with our new tent yet. No problem putting it back in the provided sack after checking it out.Update: We did a test fit with our Alps Mountaineering Taurus 4 Outfitter tent today. Good fit, extended right to edge of our tent.07/05/19 Update: Happy with our purchase. We used the "floor saver" for the first time today camping for 4 days. Adding another star...

Very thin. I think it's a bit overpriced.
I was confused!!?.. thought I Needed this for inside nd that there was No floor in tent! I understand it's ripstop or whatever they call it!...but it's as thin as a cheap shower curtain!. I'm scared to put on ground. I think it was quite pricey. And was nervous to set it up in my yard.. I may return buy a tarp. . . I watched few videos to see how to set up.. saw numerous people putting the Alps tent up.. .. And none had this floor saver!? They had tarps with loops for stakes!***Has anyone noticed that no matter whether you put warranties on purchased items says window closed. 2 times I called for returns...and sure enough Amazon said The Windows are closed!! And Not too long before this covid19 I got a call saying something was hacked and hung up "I record all calls .. So I was able to go back and listen to it... First thought it said emails being hacked. But it clearly said" looks like your Asurion protection plan has been hacked!!". Amazon took advantage of the covid19. Cause I have screenshots of all my purchases with the warranties. So they'll finally say ok you can return!?! So Beware record And screenshot all orders that show you paid warranty on All your items! I'm not very happy with Amazon since. And as much money I've spent within few yrs. I'm not treated as a prime member/ or a valued customer. I feel They are taking advantage of their customers.

Five Stars
UPDATED 3/27/2017: So I went camping with this tent floor saver along with ALPS Mountaineering's 2-person Taurus tent, in Texas's Big Bend National Park, for 9 days. We stayed in the Chiso Basin campground which is actually VERY rocky. No grassy campground. I did what I can to clear off the big rocks but since the ground is LITERALLY made up of sand and rock, it's impossible to get rid of them all. However, the floor saver functioned perfectly. I HAD brought one of them blue tarps but a fellow camper forgot her floor saver so I lent her my tarp and just had this floor saver and tent instead. Through 7 days of camping (the last 2 days we moved to a different campground to get some grass and shade...), this floor saver kept anything from poking through the floor of my tent. I had laid a suit case, a duffel bag, my backpack, sleeping mat, boots, etc. in the tent, and had also dragged the suit case around a bit as necessary. Came home, laid out the floor saver for inspection and was expecting some wear and tear...but NOTHING! No holes. No punctures. All it needed was a wipe down with a towel and some diluted isopropyl alcohol (it was very dusty at the campsite) and it looked good as new! I am very happy with this floor saver and it did a great job!Great floor protection that goes under your tent, especially considering it is many-folds cheaper than the tent itself!

Good, but...
This does what it says and built in stake straps are nice, but...for the price, this is a very expensive light tarp. If you add straps to a tarp or Tyvek cut footprint, in function its same thing and might be a bit tougher. This just looks better and is all in one package. It does fold up smaller and lighter than a tarp though but not smaller than you can fold up worn in Tyvek.

Well made ground sheet.
This looks like a good ground sheet for under your tent. The material seams pretty strong, the sewing has been done well. The webbing loops in the corners are secure. I purchased the 3 person floor saver and if you pull it firmly the size is 6'2" X 7'2". The package says 6'6"x7'6" which it is most definitely not. Amazon's descriptions is correct. Overall I'm happy with this. It is lightweight and should fit into my tent bag well. I haven't used this yet, so I don't have a good durability test yet, however it feels and looks like it will hold up well.

I like that this fits under the 4-person tent floor
I like that this fits under the 4-person tent floor, but it is a little thinner than I would prefer. I like the thickness of the standard blue tarp; it just seems more durable for outdoor use. This is very convenient and much smaller to transport, though, so as long as you do a really good recon of your camp site and remove anything sharp, this is a good little protective barrier. I've been very impressed with ALPS Mountaineering products so far.

size isnt as advertised
Update: it does not match. But is close enough I’ll make it work.i bought a footprint that said 5 foot by 7 foot 6 inch. but the actual measurements are 4 foot 6 by 7 foot even. now this is supposed to match the tent i have coming in the mail (ALPS Mountaineering Meramac 2-Person Tent) perfectly at the 5x7ft6inch measurment. hopefully the tent reflects similar measurements....

Nice lightweight footprint
At first I thought it was too thin but after playing around with it, it seems to be strong material, still thin but strong. It fits a Riorand 4 season 2 person winter tent perfectly with a tiny bit of the tent being slightly bigger than this footprint but no problem if you prepare the ground first. This is thin enough to wrap with the tent so tent and tarp are ready to go.I'm happy with the purchase.

Works well with Cabela's 2P tent
Worked well with my Cabelas 2P tent, I measured the L/W and went for this one. I think next time I will fold over an inch each end to really make sure rain doesn't seep in. First use we had two storms come through. Ground was sodden but the floor saver really stopped the water soaking the floor of the tent. When i finally packed up the ground under was dry.

Overpriced
Bought this for Lynx 4. It does the job but it's not that thick or durable for a footprint. Same material as bathtub floor. I ducktaped a tarp to the bottom... Don't think it's worth the $50 I paid at all... Would suggest you skip this and just use a heavy duty tarp for real protection..
