Good product, but Not compitable with my dell 2950III cabinet.

This cable solved the SAS Cable Error that I was experiencing with an actual Dell branded mSAS to 36P cable. I have a PowerEdge 840 chassis that I wanted to upgrade to the H310 instead of the original Perc 5/i controller. Using a Dell cable, my server indicated that there was a cable error and gave the constant ambiguous orange flashing light, even though the cable worked without issue. Using the Tripp Like S510-18N, the cable is correct for mSAS controller to 36P Backplane, and I have the nice blue light once again. This is ideal, since now at a glance I'll know if i have a RAID drive failure or other problem needing attention.

Used in a Dell poweredge 2950 III with an upgraded raid controller

These work with a H700 in a 2950 but they are expensive.

For a Dell 2900 installation you'll need this and the matching longer one. Without both cables you have to hit F1 every time you boot.

I used this in a dell pe 2950

Used these to retrofit an H700 into a Dell Poweredge R900. Used off-brand cables first and while they worked, I could not reboot without being in the server room because the it would hang waiting for an F1 key because of a "missing cable". Swapped for these Tripp Lite cables and the problem went away.
