Quality product at a fair price
The order was shipped quickly and arrived sooner than expected. Nice quality, works great in my router table. Makes bit changing easy.

Great for extending a 1/4 bit for a router sled
I bought this to use in my 2.25 HP Bosch router with 1/2" collet in order to extend it to make it easier to work with a router sled for flattening live edge slabs that I chainsaw milled.I had bought a whiteside spoilboard flattening bit for use with my old 1/4" router, so I just used this extension with the higher HP bosch, and made a sled for the router. This allowed me to use the plunge base and flatten the slab more easily. The plunge base is great with this as I use the stepped depth adjustments for each pass, so I don't worry about how much I'm lowering it by.The spoilboard 1/4'' shank bit is only a 1 inch diameter, and I'm sure I'll upgrade to a wider 1/2" shank bit with carbide inserts in the future. I'll get a similar 1/2" to 1/2" extender when I do that.In the meantime, this has worked exceptionally well. It transfers power and torque well and safely. For small slabs, this works quite well.

Great quality, but kinda scary
The build quality on this is rather good, but a bit terrifying while using larger bits! Follow the speed chart / bit size they give you, because it gets quite long!

Worth the money
Well made and easy to use

Works well with DeWalt router
I used this with my DeWalt Plunge Router on my home made milling sled that I use to flatten live edge slabs. It works well for my smaller finishing bits and allows me to extend the bit low enough to work in my sled. Recommended

More depth
With most 1/4” router bits. The shank is always to short when used in a router table. The bit can always need to be raised up through table mount plate . This extension give you that extra depth of cut you need . The route bit runs smooth. Even extended.

But extension
Too long

Gives Height Using Spline Jig
Bought to use in my router table to get the height I needed when using a jig for box splines - works well for that. However was hoping to use regularly to change bits above the table, did not work. Too tall for use other than with the jig.
