Honeywell HPA300 Air Purifier Filter Pack Value Kit. One HRF-R3 - One HRF-APP1 (1 Pack)

This is a full replacement set for the Honeywell True HEPA Allergen Remover, 465 sq. Ft, HPA300 unit. The Prefilter it comes with (porous, thin and black) has to be cut into shape (template provided) and can be used for other units. It has enough to replace in the HPA300 unit two or three times over. While expensive in total, you can easily go a year between replacing everything. You might have to vacuum the prefilter or wash it a couple times a year (or cut another using the template). The 3 Honeywell Type R True HEPA Filters are pretty awesome. You can see why they are a bit pricey. Again those can probably go a year in the HPA300 unit, even with a couple cats because there are 3 of them. This was everything in one package and I couldn't be happier.

great filters and machine. I cannot have open windows due to light from other buildings so this air cleaner makes it ok for the dog to sleep at the foot of the bed. ok, so he takes the middle of the bed but you know what I mean.

I won't buy these again. The thin black "pre-filter" has white particles on one site. And black dust comes off the filter when you take it out of the bag. It feels the opposite of a product for purifying the air. The larger white filters seem fine.

Can't figure out filters.

I like everything about this but the price. But I realized when I bought my air cleaner I'd need to get filters regularly so I'm a satisfied customer.

It does am excellemt job of removing pet dander and clean the air.

I purchased the Honeywell HPA300 air cleaner for allergy relief both for me (dust, pollen) and my cat (dust). It performed as expected. There was less dust when I dusted and both the cat and I were coughing less. I was amazed at the amount of dust collecting on the outside of the pre-filter after a month and I vacuumed it off the pre-filter.At 93 days of use, the red light indicating the pre-filter needed replacing lit. There is a sticker on the unit saying to contact Kaz for service issues. So I ordered the “Honeywell HPA 300 Air Purifier Value Pack from Kaz through Amazon. What I received as the “pre-filter” is nothing like the original filter media that came with the unit. It is thin, feels coated with something black that comes off and I can see through the replacement media. I replaced the media in the unit after cutting it to size but the red light didn’t go off. Instructions in the owner’s manual directs holding down the “check pre-filter” button to turn off the light.Now, I’m concerned how long the HEPA filters will last since it doesn’t appear that the pre-filter media will stop dust. I found that Lowe’s sells both the filters at significantly lower prices than charged by Kaz. I wanted to buy a second air cleaner for the bedroom end of the house but I’m going to see if there is better media material for the HPA 300 available from other sellers and if not, I will be looking for a different air cleaner.
