Replacement for Garmin Nuvi 760 Battery with Tools - Compatible with Garmin GPS Navigator Batteries (1300mAh 3.7V Lithium Polymer)

Delivery was better than expected. Product packaged well. No damage. The tools that came with the battery worked perfectly for me. Although I didn't use the case splitter tool. My thumbnail worked very well, so I didn't try it. The kit came with two torx bit screwdrivers. #5 and #4. So this should solve any of the problems I've read in pervious reviews. The #4 bit I used worked just as well as a #4 Torx bit I got from Compaq Computer years ago.Battery was about 3/4 charged when I installed it. However I have not done a full charge or seen how long the battery will last. If I remember to I'll revisit this review after a few months to say how good the battery longevity is.The only thing that I think is missing from the kit is the double backed sticky tape that Garmin uses to adhere the battery to the inside of the case. Without it the battery would flop around and could become damaged. Might be something the vendor would consider adding to the kit. But as I keep lots of this kind of tape around, it wasn't a problem for me. Installation took about 5 minutes. Nice to have a functioning GPS again.At this point, I would buy again.

XLNT !! just as advertised, arrived just a bit sooner than i was told, (Im in Aust). And like most other reviews, less than $15 battery, bigger capacity than original, and all garmin stores tell you, battery cant be replaced, you have to buy new GPS. new battery holds charge way better than orig. all up, great work from store & amazon. pitty amazon dosent have a reasonable post to aust. batt $13. post $35. i know that the post serv, not saying anything bad about amazon. but they can do get sell etc, so many other amazing products, just wish they could sort a reasonable post serv. (yes i know some things are good price or free post). again thnx for awesome all round experience. Joshy :-)

I have not installed this battery yet but it appears to be a perfect replacement for the original. It was thoughtful of the seller to provide tools for installation. I'm giving it 4-stars with the expectation that it will work like the original when it's time to replace.

Well, the battery works great, just as advertised, but my Nuvi 760 required a smaller torx than the tools that came with it. I had to go to the store to get the right torx tool, so that was frustrating. The tools are also cheap $1 tools from China, which is what I think everyone expects them to be, but they will work provided they are the size you need. Other than that, it all went well.

The battery is working great and i would recommend it. However the tool kit was not helpful in opening the Garmin. I had to take my Garmin to the geek squad @ Best Buy to use their tools.Therefore I would not recommend the tool kit.

I watched a Youtube video and the battery hooked up just as shown. I ended up using a very tiny flat-head screwdriver since the little flat plastic tool kept slipping when I was trying to 'crack open' the back of the GPS

Resurrected a dead GPS with this battery. GPS works like new. Included tools worked well. Only way this could be better is if they included a piece of double-sided tape for securing the battery. I looked for a hour for my double-sided tape before my girls owned up to using it all!

Battery works great in my GARMIN NUVI 760.Tools were included. Saved a $100 service bill or a new GPS.

Easy installation of the new battery once I got the old battery out. The pry tool used for opening the GPS wasn't very strong and broke. I ended up using a scrap of hardwood to open the GPS without damaging it. The kit should have included a piece of double sided tape to hold things in place. The battery holds a charge and seems to work satisfactorily. I'd buy again from this seller.

Package arrived on time and as advertised. It would benefit from double sided tape. I was luckily able to reuse the existing tape by peeling it off the old battery. Instal was easy using a YouTube video.The plastic spudger pry tool broke during the opening of the gps. So far so good though.

Ordered on Saturday and received the following Thursday. Tools worked great. Installed battery in 10 minutes. My Nuvi 760 now keeps a charge like the first day I bought it. Would order from this company again.

New battery works perfectly to replace the old battery which would no longer hold a charge.Getting the case open is a bit tricky - recommend that you watch one or two of the various tutorials on Youtube showing how to do this, which were very helpful.
