Columbia Men's Newton Ridge Lt Waterproof Hiking Boots

Only had a couple days but did wear on a 1.5M walk to verify fit and comfort.i wear an 11.5W shoe. I had read the comments before buying these boots and they indicated they run to size so I ordered 11.5W. From my walk I can say they are a near perfect fit. Double wide would have been too wide.At first, when the box arrived, I thought it must be empty. Of course it wasn't. These are very light boots. Surprisingly light considering they are above the ankle boots.The material for the body of the shoe appears to be a heavy canvass material. Flexible and light. This might be a small point but the laces are, I think, the right length. Not so long they drag on the ground but not so short you struggle to tie them. And they are grippy enough to use a single knot. I did and they never loosened during my walk.The boots are surprisingly trim in appearance. I was expecting a larger looking boot. But these are as trim as a pair of sneakers. When I first inpacked them I felt I'd be packing them back up because they were too narrow.As with any hiking boot I'd expect some break in time to be needed. However with these I expect that time to be short. In my brief walk I never experienced any pinching or difficult in the flex of the boot.These boots are NOT made in China but rather in Korea.For all these reasons I had no doubt in giving these boots a 5 star rating. I recommend them for anyone looking for an economical hiking boot.

I hardly write reviews, but these shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I have no arch in my feet so i find it very difficult to find comfortable shoes. I'm a 10.5 wide and I'm the type of guy that usually needs to try on the shoe before i buy because I'm very particular on how the shoe fits and feels. I've been a server and now currently do home remodeling/construction for work. I easily get over 20,000 steps a day, so you can see why I need shoes that are comfortable all day and work well. Other shoes that i have worn have killed my feet by the end of the day, but not these! I can go all day and night with these. My arch or lack there of in my feet don't hurt! It's amazing! These Newton Ridge lightweights are the best. Please don't ever change the fit and feel of these!! I've bought other Columbia shoes such as the Buxton Peak MID and they have too high of an arch for me and hurt. But these are amazing, can't compliment them enough!!

Nice show but I'd order a half size larger.. I'm a solid 9 1/2 with room usually and these are as tight as can be, any tighter I'd have to get a 10 but if your okay with a snug shoe its great, and a quality shoe for sure

I received boots on time, opened them and put them on and went on a first date hiking over at Valley Forge Park. We walked and hiked miles in my new Columbia boots that were so comfortable that the next day I woke up with sore muscles from many miles of hiking the day before but my feet didn't hurt at all, they felt good.I will be buying a couple more pair this week. I Highly recommened Columbia boots they are good looking and very comfortable....☆☆☆☆☆ JDW

I got these for myself for one of my first hiking trip. Didn’t want to spend $150 on a pair not knowing how well I would enjoy it. I wore these around three house and work for a day to break them in and they were much better than I expected right out of the box and even more comfortable after a day of wear. Didn’t really get them wet so can’t speak to the waterproof part but very comfortable and got some complements on the gray color.

PERFECT ALL AROUND BOOT! Within i don’t know how many years of buying and trying out boots that could meet my picky needs. These without a doubt are the best and have everything I ask and want in a boot.-Style-Fit-Quality-Truly Waterproof (I put it in a bucket with water and completely dry)-Comfortable like walking on a cloudThere’s really no Cons whatsoever and I’d buy these again if I ever need another pair and I’m 100% positive these will last me a while.

I love em, super comfortable right from the start, at first I was only using to walk some light terrain & light wet areas, they did exactly what I wanted. Then I brought them to work 8 hours a day on concrete floors in a factory, at first I was skeptical but the transition from my heavier boots was fantastic, if these were composite or safety toe they would be a 1000% for me atleast. I will buy more pairs. To each their own.

I wear a size 12 standard and so thats what I ordered: they fit perfectly. Tread seems good on them and they feel nice. The biggest surprise is how light they are! Also they aren't super ugly like most hiking shoes (looking at you Keen brand). They are decently stylish, i got the grey ones with red laces.
