Bamboo Volume 48-Hour Sustainable Volume Spray, Blow Dry Spray, 4.2-Ounce

I am confused about this product. I had ordered the very same product (Alterna Bamboo Sustainable Volume Hair Spray) before through a different source/seller and I was in love. My fine and flat hair was all of a sudden full and flowy. I was really impressed and more than satisfied. I looked for the same product on Amazon, and just started using the bottle I received through amazon yesterday. The new bottle is doing nothing for my hair!! If anything, the product is making it look worse than it usually does. Flat, no style or shape. A bad hair day for sure:( The texture that I could feel on my hair after using the product in the original order is no more. CONCLUSION: the producer changed the formula which does nothing good for my hair OR the product was somehow altered/diluted. I am puzzled. Will ot be ordering it in the future of course. Hmmm. Disappointed. Money wasted.

The product appears to be the same I've purchased in stores; HOWEVER, the sprayer is of a lower quality! The product only comes out in a strong stream, rather than the appropriate mist. It left my hair greasy, clumpy and horrible looking. The lid also does NOT fit the bottle so you can't keep it closed. I happened to have an old empty bottle so I transferred the product. Otherwise I would definitely return, as it was not usable due to the sprayer.Note, I compared the ingredients. This one has preservatives where my original did not. (Not sure that matters really.)

a friend of mine gave me her bottle of Bamboo because she didnt like it and as my hair is very fine, thought i might... well i LOVE this product and wouldn't be without it ! i don't know where she bought hers, but i was delighted to see i could get it on amazon... i towel dry, detangle, cool blow dry for less than a minute, spritz this on, coil some locks and attach with bobby pins, then cool blow dray another minute, leave pins in ..maybe 5-10 minutes, take out and hit my hair with a bit of cool air again and my very fine hair brushes into a much fuller, kempt, slightly very slghtly wavy look that lasts and lasts... have you very fine, thin hair? DO BAMBOO !

This is a fabulous product. I am 60 years old and have shoulder length, layered, thin hair that is thinning! I tried spraying this product on wet hair )(as per instructions), making sure that the product was throughout, and the results were pretty good. But this is how I use it now and I love the thickness and volume my hair appears to have. I wash my hair and let it air dry. Then as I am using my hot rollers, I spray each section of hair before wrapping around the hot roller. After I get all the rollers in my hair, I spray another light coat all over my 'rollered' head. I leave the rollers in until completely cool. Then I brush my hair with my head 'up-side-down' and when I flip my hair back--voila--full hair and after styling and a using a light hair spray, my hair is fantastic and lasts for a couple of days (with minimal fix-up the second day)!!

I had high hopes for this product. My hair strands are considered to be fine, but I have a good amount of these fine strands. It is layered and goes to the middle of my back. Because of the fineness of my strands, my hair is not super heavy. This product may be able to withstand a shorter hair cut or someone with very thin hair, but it's definitely not for the average girl that has long hair.

I normally buy this at my salon so am familiar with the look, smell and feel of it this bottle and product. It smells similar but seems like it’s been diluted. The bottle and lid are the same, but the spray pump/nozzle is not the normal one that comes with it (at least per my prior salon purchases). Would not buy this again - would pay more to get the actual product.

I have been using this product for years. I have fine, thin hair and it works better than anything else I’ve tried. I took away one star because it can leave my hair feeling crunchy if I use too much and flat if I don’t use enough. I only use this on the roots at the top of my head and comb through. It’s tricky to get it right every time and even after many years of use I still haven’t perfected the right amount to use. I don’t recommend this for thick hair, I think it will weigh it down.

I liked the spray that I received in the first order that I placed. My hair seemed to have more volume and looked healthier. Not so much on the reorder. My hair was flat with no volume whatsoever. After reading other reviews it seems as though the spray was watered down. Shame on whoever is responsible for the tampered spray. Never again...

Years ago there was a fabulous hair volumizer from Wella (High Hair) which got discontinued. I have been buying different products in the hope of finding a similar one since. My quest is not over but this is the best product for volume hair. The reason I am still searching is that this product is slightly tacky to touch. However it does what it says so the 5 stars.

I'm disappointed. Saw so many great reviews, thought I'd give it a try even though it's pricey.My hair is very fine, almost baby like. This made hardly any difference at all to the volume of my hair. When I used about a fifth of the bottle at once (thinking "it's got to do something!") it did thicken my hair but only until the next morning. That's a very expensive product if you have to use that much at once!To top it all off, it has made my scalp really itchy, which worries me because I can't afford to lose anymore hair!I'm going back to L'Oréal elvive non stop volume mousse which does make my hair MUCH thicker, just a bit sticky.I wouldn't buy this product again.

I love this stuff and find it helps me control my somewhat listless curly hair.

Best volume spray, just a shame it's so damn expensive now!!
