I really liked this product
I really liked this product, but after about 15 times of use it would not turn on. The indicators are showing a full charge. I have tried all combinations of the buttons to see if I could restart the device. No luck! The instruction manual and online information provide no clue to resolving the issue. Loved when it worked, but ultimately a waste of money.

ONE OF THE BETTER SPEAKERS YOU'LL FIND IN THIS PRICE RANGE
A couple months ago I came across the name brand "Mifa". Researched them & a few of their products, checked out their web site. As it turns out they are a global company & not all that "new" to the portable audio game. I took a chance & bought the Mifa F1. I liked how it looked & its feature set.I LOVE THAT SPEAKER; FanTasTic sound & definition from such a little device...Being I have had my eye on this speaker for some time now..I thought I would give it a go being the first speaker I bought from them is sooo Freaking AWESOME.. I AM GLAD I DID & I'm now convinced the first one wasn't a flook, MIFA puts out some REALLY nice products at least from what I have seen from them so far. If you are curious, give this speaker a try...the size is nice. Not to Big, Not too Small. Fits easily in the hand to carry, one handed operation, has a nice clip if you want to attach it to something. The top & bottom "bumpers" seem fairly shock absorbent just in case you drop it. Button layout is easy to understand & use "blindly" if need be. The buttons seem to be a little hard to press but for me that's ok...it also makes it harder for them to be push them accidentally...which is something i could see happening if they were easier to push, so to me it's a good thing.Has mode voice prompts, battery indicator light (very NICE to have), bluetooth is easy to pair with chimes not voice prompts (which I really like too)Build quality is very appealing. You can tell they took time to pick out the right materials to use. Overall you feel you got your money's worth. I'm Very satisfied with it as far as to how it was put together. Really solid build quality.SOUND: to my ears it seems pretty balanced. not hollow or "empty" like it's "missing something"Treble is crisp & not overbearing or piercing with most tracks/music but can be harsh depending on what you're listening too & it's compression rate. Mids are clean & rich...I can hear nuances in the music I haven't heard with other bluetooth speakers...including my Mifa F1. Mostly becuz I think the Mifa F1 is a mono speaker where as this is a stereo speaker. hence the sound quality is basically twice as good as the Mifa F1..& honestly, that's pretty impressive cuz the F1 sounds fricking FANTASTIC for it's size. Being this speaker really isn't all that big either the overall amount of sound it puts out is really good & pretty loud..BASS: It damn sure has it & it really fills in where the mids drop off. it's REALLY NICE to hear a speaker this small produce so much bass. It helps bring the music to "life". For it's size you wouldn't expect it. I have a larger Philips 7200series & it is doesn't sound as clean or as bassy as this one does & that speaker is a pretty good sounding speaker too.The F5 is Rated IPX4 so you can get it wet & not worry just don't submerge it. I haven't gotten it wet yet but I'm sure it will happen in time. I live in Oregon...it's GOING to happen..when it does I wont have to get worried..I like that.Final thoughts:If you haven't heard of Mifa before keep in mind this company is global. Very Popular in the UK & Europe as well as in Japan, China & Thailand. They have quite a following & I can see why. I will be buying another one of their products after the holidays for myself. The Mifa F4...it also has me very curious & I like how small it is but I am also curious about the Mifa F6...both also have the TF card function which is my personal preference 7 what I am after.UPDATE:I've had this speaker for a month now & I couldn't be more pleased with it. It has become my over all favorite speaker & I LOVE THIS THING!

I still can't get over how good it sounds for the size and price
I already have one of these for myself that I gave a 5 star review for. This one I bought as a gift for a friend after she saw and heard mine. She loves it. I still can't get over how good it sounds for the size and price. And the best feature is playing music from a micro SD card. Great speaker and a great value.

Warm bass, lots of sound from a small package
This is a great little speaker and performs far better than one would expect given its size.We needed a speaker to play some music at a family gathering, and after a bit of looking around I decided on this one. I've spent a few days with it to get a good feel for what it's like. The speaker came well packaged in a nice plastic case that would be well suited for giving it as a gift -- the box is very nice. Opening the box I found the speaker to have a nice heft -- a feeling of quality. No rattles or loose bits. In the box it had a very detailed instruction manual written in multiple languages -- the English was clear and readable (better than the manufacturer's website). In addition to the manual there was also an aux cable and a micro-usb charging cable (both yellow). The cables felt a little bit cheap, but they're standard cables, so easily replaced if needed.Turning it on the first time I was a bit startled as the volume was set high and it has a voice prompt to indicate that it's in bluetooth mode. Yikes! The voice is a very deep and pleasant voice, and very clear.Usage was easy... press the power button, and you get a tone indicating that it's on. A second later it says that it's in bluetooth mode. Press and hold the play/pause button (which has a bluetooth logo on it) and it goes into pairing mode. Pair with phone, get a connection tone, done. I paired it with an iPhone 5S and later a Moto G (Android) phone, both worked flawlessly. It only pairs with one device (does not have a multi-device memory), but is easy to re-pair. I didn't realize when I bought it that it can also act as a speakerphone, which is an interesting feature that you may or may not want. On Android you can specify that you don't want to use it for that purpose with a simple switch on the pairing screen -- not sure about iOS, I didn't look close enough. The speaker has track, volume, and phone buttons, which work well. I did have one instance where the buttons stopped responding -- not sure if it was my phone or the speaker, but I pressed the recessed reset button and it started working perfectly again. The bluetooth receiver has decent range, and worked well from anywhere within the same room or a neighboring room.In addition to bluetooth, this speaker also supports analog aux input using a 3.5mm male to male cable (included). On the opposite side of the speaker from the controls there is a little rubber flap that acts as a dust seal. Pulling that flap back exposes the 3.5mm aux input jack, a micro SD card slot, and the USB port. Switching modes is easy, just press the power button (labeled M for mode) briefly, or if you just plug in the aux cable it automatically switches with a voice prompt indicating that it switched. I was pleased with how easily it worked as the speaker will be used by my tech-illiterate mother, and she had no problem with it. I didn't try playing music from the micro-sd card (I don't have a free one available at the moment -- I'll update the review later if I use the feature), but the instructions indicated that it supported a variety of formats. I suspect that the interface would be minimal when playing that way, so I'm not sure how valuable it would be (can't expect much when there's no screen for a UI). I don't think that you can interface with the media on the card via the USB port -- I tried plugging the charging cable into my computer and it did not show up as a USB device, so I suspect the cable is for charging only -- the media must be loaded externally. As for sound quality, this was the best part of the speaker. The manual says it has two 1.5" speakers and a 'passive bass radiator'. Not knowing what that was, I looked it up -- looks like it's just a design that maximizes the bass of small speakers, similar to porting on a subwoofer. Whatever it is, it really worked. The speaker had an amazing amount of bass, in fact, possbily a bit overwhelming on hip-hop, but pleasant and nice for most rock, jazz, country, etc. It gave a very warm sound, and (surprisingly) you could feel the bass. My son said it sounded a little "distant" when played in the car, but when we played it in the house he said it sounded good. I also thought it sounded very good. It is very loud and easily fills a medium to large room, without distortion, even at full volume. Placing it near a window really helps magnify the sound as it bounces off of the surface and gives a much fuller effect. Stereo separation was minimal (the speakers are very close together, what do you expect?), but noticable when the speaker was placed on the desk in front of my monitor.Overall I'm very pleased with it. My daughter has a Bose SoundLink, and I'd say that at 3x the price there's no way that it's 3x as good... In fact, in many ways I like this speaker better -- it's more portable, has a bit of stereo, etc.Note that I received this speaker at a discount in exchange for a fair and honest review. I hate fake reviews and promise to be honest with my reviews. Any pressure from sellers to give a misleading review will lead to an immediate 1 star review.

If the shoe fits...
I would recommend this for someone who likes to backpack, hike, go camping etc... Where there isn't much phone or wifi service especially. Reason being is it has a mini sd slot so you can toss in a huge playlist on the go without draining your phone. Other than that it's a typical speaker more on the rugged side. The volume and clarity are decent but not as good as it could be. Much better can be found for the full price ($39). I received this through a review site so it was well worth it. If I would have paid full retail and didn't need the clip, rubber ends, and tough look I would have bought a JBL go. This being said, I plan to enjoy it daily on the trails.
