A fun film with masses of heart.
First, realise this is a Kevin James (sorry Smith) film and os has a particular style. I'm sure a lot of people won't get it. But that's fine. If you do, this film is a beautiful and funny love letter to his career and all those who have helped him along the way. It's filled with heart (ironically), dick jokes, more subtle than you realise social commentary and a big ole bag of weed. Don't expect The Godfather, unless, in your version of The Godfather, Don Corleone is baked and accuses those doing business at his daughter's wedding of 'schnoogins'.Basically, it's great.

One of his best (if you're a fan).
I loved this movie. I loved all of the little nudges that hark back to all his other movies. It's not for most people, unless you're a fan. Remember it's ripping on the re-make genre, and not to be taken seriously. For fans only, or those interested. Snoochies!

A Lot of Heart
Kevin Smith has matured as a filmmaker, and while this film still has silly moments, it has a lot more heart, particularly in a late sequence that surprisingly delivers some follow-ups on some of the earlier View Askewniverse movies. It's a pity the Magnum Dopus documentary isn't included, but it's an enjoyable film nonetheless, and a terrific blu-ray transfer.

More fan service than film
This film is clearly intended for Smith's devoted fanbase, with little consideration for any one outside of that group. The plot of the film is a long running joke in which Jay and Silent Bob are against the idea of a reboot of a film based on them, while staring in a reboot of a film based on them. There's not much more to it. The rest of the film is filled with fan service. Sometimes well done (such as Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's scenes). Other times shoehorned in out of context, with characters referencing events they had no part of originally. As a celebration of Jay and Bob and the previous films, it's good and definitely worth a watch for fans.As a film, it's not that great. The plot is weak and full of holes and some of the jokes just don't really work.A film can't survive on injokes and references alone.

Kevin Smith makes a great reboot
If you like Kevin Smith's Viewaskunivese you'll enjoy this. Lots of cameos and callbacks to the previous movies. As with many reboots (great explanation of the difference between a 'reboot' and a 'remake' in this movie) not as good as the original Jay and Silent Bob movie but still good enough that I enjoyed seeing what these characters were up to 25 years later. Make sure you watch the end credits.

Love it
I'm not the right person to review this as I'm a huge fan of all Kevin Sith's work. Anyway - most people will find it stupid but I think it's a piece done for fans not for everybody. I love it. And it's good to see almost all actors from the previous movies in this one.

Fan tear jerker
Let me start off by saying that the acting is fair and the plot is poor but the genius is in fan fare. I loved every moment of this film including the 3rd act which contains the worst Russian accent in movie history. This is teh best Kevin Smith movie since Zack and Miri.

Doesn`t lick balls or a**e
I`m guessing the last time I was as disappointed in a film was Highlander 2, or maybe the utter woke garbage that were the final 3 Star Wars films. I`ve followed Smith since I accidentally came across Clerks and the original Jay and Silent Bob strikes back had some genuinely laugh out loud moments. This rebook made me smile no more than a couple of times but not a happy smile; more a grimace sort of smile like when you pass wind when you have diarrhea and don`t want to follow through. This film has none of the charm, wit, intelligence or clever writing of any of his previous works and is so bad hat by the end of it you don`t even like Jay or Silent Bob. Oh, and if you`ve never seen any of Smith`s previous works, just don`t bother with this because the whole film is just an excuse to rattle off a bunch of in jokes from all his other movies. If this is how untalented you become by losing weight and becoming a vegan then I suggest Smith locks himself away for a few months with a stack of Cow tippers.

Absoluter Knaller!! :-D
