LifeProof Belt Clip for iPhone 6/6s FRĒ or NÜÜD Series Cases - Retail Packaging - Black

I bought my iPhone 6S in January 2016. I wanted a case that would protect if from New England winters and beyond. I researched and finally bit the bullet and spent the extra money on the Lifeproof Fre. It's a wonderful case and has lived up to their advertising. Now for the belt clip. Since 1/2016, I have gone through THREE BELT CLIPS! The holder itself is fine and does a great job of holding the case and locking it securely. The weak link is the pivot disc that attaches the holder to the belt clip. It breaks VERY easily. Every time it breaks, I rationalize that I need it because it fits the case so perfectly. However, at at $30 each, enough is enough. It's incredible that a company that hangs its reputation on making something almost indestructible, then makes an accessory for it that can't even live up to staying on a belt without breaking. Here's a free idea. Make the joining pieces out of metal so that when the two clip together they can't come apart but can rotate like RUGGED did for their clips. There's was the only belt clip that didn't break on me.UPDATE: June 22, 2017Well, it's been FOUR MONTHS since I bought my replacement belt clip for my iPhone 6S. Today the clip BROKE! That's four belt clips in about two years. I very much like the case. If you don't need a belt clip, I recommend them. If you do need a belt clip, DON'T use this brand! This was my last attempt to be a loyal Lifeproof customer. LIFEPROOF...YOU'RE FIRED!!!

i purchased this belt clip in feb 2016 and it broke today april 3 2016. i havent spoken with lifeproof yet to see if they will make this right and replace this. but it seems to me that a belt clip should last alot longer then two months given its a 28.00 add on to the case purchase. i will update this review based on what they tell me when i contact them but for now its a solid 1 star mainly based on durability

I didn’t like the weight and bulk of the lifeproof case when I had one & have found that slimmer, more decorative cases whoch cushion the back and sides (extending over front lip) of my phone have worked just as well when phone is dropped (not uncommon for me). I do however want a belt/waistband clip as clothing manufacturers & designers have yet to figure out that women need pockets. Real ones. That aren’t just there to make jeans look jean-like. However this is far too big for my iphone 6s, so assuming it is meant to work with a phone in their LP case. If anyone has a suggestion for an easy adhesive clip of good quality to stick on the back of my slimmer case or wants to futher discuss the shortcomings of clothing meant for females (zippers and hooks only on the back, anyone?) please let me know.

I have 3 issues with this holster...1) it comes with 2 clips (large or small). You have to choose which clip you want to use and then attach it to the holster. Once it is locked into to place it cannot be removed. In simple terms To install, you insert the clip and snap a cover plate over the joint. I wanted to use the small clip but could not get the cover plate to snap into place. Uncertain if it was a Hard Snap or not working at all, I put the large clip into place and it locked in - once this occurred it became unfortunately apparent that the cover plate is purely ornamental and not an integral component to the now permanent installation of the clip.2) while admittedly the lifeproof case has a protective cover over the phone screen, there is no such protection for the protective cover when mounted in the holster. My last phone case was a lifeproof with battery backup and used a lifeproof brand holster as well. That holster had a protective flat surface that the phone laid against to prevent the screen cover from scratches. This holster offers no such protection.3) the phone does not snap in and out of holster easily and is generally a pain to use.All in all, the price of the holster is outrageous when measured against its poor performance.

Going on my 3rd reorder of this clip. It's sturdy and perfect for my husband who is a PE teacher and coach of 2 sports, always wearing it on his hip and running around. He's really rough with his phone so it has broken a few times but I would say that's the user, not the clip. The clip has a locking feature that shows green (unlocked) or red(locked) that I really like. Also, it props up on a table nicely when you want your toddler to be quiet in a restaurant and watch DisneyChannel (caution, you will be judged). :)
