Bold Blue with Amazing Vibrancy
This blue shade is absolutely stunning! The color applies evenly, looks incredibly vibrant on pre-lightened hair, and leaves the hair feeling soft and conditioned. Like all Arctic Fox colors I've used, it has a pleasant scent, fades beautifully, and is easy to refresh when needed. The pigment is rich and eye-catching, making it perfect for anyone wanting a bold blue look.

Amazing on bleached hair not so much on darker
Decided to use the color Poseidon & was my first time using Artic Fox but have used alot of different other types of dyes & this was good considering its vegan & the range of colors but unless you have bleached hair, it won't come out very well. The 8oz was plenty for my long thick hair that I had some left over to add to my conditioner to up keep my color & dye alittle of my kid's hair too which washed out easily using warm water & shampoo whereas I've been washing my hair with cold water & it retained the color better. Just be sure to wash out the color really well or it'll start coming off on your clothes but didn't have a problem with that. I could hardly tell on my dark brown hair but my platinum blonde hair part looked amazing! Even when it started to fade it looked good. The best way to describe the color Poseidon was the color of Sonic the hedgehog (my kid loves Sonic so it was what I was going for) so unless your hair is light, I'd say the colors won't work out as you would hope.

A great choice for bright, high-quality at-home coloring!
I’m really happy with this hair dye! The color turned out bright, vibrant, and exactly like on the box. My hair feels soft, shiny, and healthy after coloring, with no dryness or breakage. The dye is easy to apply, doesn’t run, and the color lasts a long time—even after several washes, it stays vibrant. The scent is mild, not harsh, and the instructions are clear. A great choice for bright, high-quality at-home coloring!

dont let it stain your walls
does not last for more than a week in hair but does stain your wall with ungodly properties. it took months and some very very hard scrubbing with a sponge and isopropyl alcohol. overall, color is great for a little bit but i managed to dye my whole head of hair 4 times with one (small) bottle! it did dye my hair white at one point though (???) would recommend

Just Okay
I have been dying my hair with unnatural colors for over 10 years, so I have a lot of experience with different dyes. I went natural for a couple of years to try to heal my hair but had a 'quarter-life-crisis' when I turned 25 and decided to do colors again (lol). Anyway, I discovered that you can order Pravana dye on Amazon, which you cannot purchase in-store unless you have your license. I have been using the ultra violet color from Pravana in my ends for the last two years or so. It is absolutely amazing hair dye that lasts 3+ months with 3x a week washes in cool water and heat styling daily. I was getting a little bored of the plain purple after so long, though, and I had heard that Arctic Fox was great dye and was also great at conditioning. I decided to get the color Poseidon to mix in with my purple to mix it up and try to condition my hair a bit, because I do feel like the Pravana does a small amount of damage. The color came out absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I fell in love! I left the Arctic Fox and other dye on for approximately 4 hours before washing out. This picture is how my hair looked the next day. Unfortunately, after only 2 washes with color-safe products and COLD water, the blue has already almost washed out completely. I am also dealing with the blue color coming off on my hands when I am styling with heat and also if I have any products on my hands like lotion - the blue will stick to it. No bleeding on my clothing or pillows that I could see, however. I am extremely disappointed that the color didn't last very long, especially considering the price of the Arctic Fox. The Pravana can be found on Amazon for the same price or less than this. I suppose I will just order a blue in the Pravana and deep condition afterward.

pretty good!
first photo is before dyeing my hair, second is after one round, third is after two round. i used posiedon on my brown hair TWICE. the first time it just made my hair more ashy and basically toned it. BUT the second time (i left it in for longer) it showed up a very dark blue a little more on the teal side. if you want to use posiedon, be sure to do it twice so it will show up. it does look a little more pigmented in person by the way. update: its been about a week and a half since i dyed it and its mostly faded, shows up a little green in the light

Everything I touch turns blue...
I am reviewing the Arctic Fox 8oz. Poseidon Blue: It has been over a week since I used this hair color. It stains like crazy...wet or dry. Believe the other reviews on both Amazon and internet bloggers/YouTube influencers. It doesn't just transfer color a little...it stains A LOT and will stain everything you come near. I didn't even color my whole head, just some underlying highlights. It has repeatedly turned my manicure blue. I bleach it off, but the blue comes back within an hour because I am constantly and subconsciously running my hands through my hair. So I now have the sapphire touch... turning everything I touch blue, even though I can't see any blue on my skin or fingertips. I've ruined a very expensive Bluetooth mouse, my favorite phone case, a flannel bedding set, my Apple Watch sports band, and who knows what's next. The color is beautiful and it did not damage my hair, but I fear that by the time this hair color stops leaking, I'll have suffered at least $500 in damage to items that I touch a lot. I have even tried shampooing my hair 5 times per shower for a week straight; which caused the color to fade unevenly (it was mostly vibrant with just a few areas of fading), but still transferred to my hands and all that I touched. Ultimately, I had to chemically strip it, which chemical does a great job at removing the color, but I fear using it too often will ultimately damage my hair. The whole point is to have a color that fades gently over time, without damaging anything --- right? This $12 home hair treatment is just not worth this much financial loss. I prefer to use jerome russell Punky Color, Atlantic Blue It does not transfer color after the first rinse, although you will see your shower water change color when shampooing. On a side note, there really is no reason to damage any more expensive bath towels. Good quality towels are not cheap and if you are a young adult playing with hair color in your parents' house, please do not destroy your mother's towels. I recommend that, if you are going to use this product or any other hair treatment product, you buy a smock to protect your clothes and skin, rather than destroy a good towel. I bought this 2 pack of Hair Salon Nylon Capes with Snap Closure for just $11.09 with same-day Prime shipping and these Plastic Shower Caps for just $6.97. A quality bath towel can cost upwards of $25.00 each (if not more). Math does not lie, you will get more repeated uses out of these two products for less than $20.00 than you will get ruining every towel you own.

Not for the weak… but you can do it.
First, understand this is probably a full day process if you want electric blue. I assume you either have naturally white hair, or you have already bleached the heck out of it. Here’s the process: - Wash your hair the day before & don’t put product in it - Put ample color blocking jelly (I use aquaphor) on your whole face, your ears, your neck, your shoulders, your arms, your friends… anything that might touch the dye. Don’t put it on your temples because sideburns are a beast. - Wear real rubber gloves, not hair dye gloves or latex gloves. - Work in sections, starting at the most visible places first. Your bangs, your part, and the back of your head (I have forgotten it and it was embarrassing) - Pause to wonder why you’re doing this. Is this worth it? Too late. Carry on. - Put extra coloring around these high visibility areas and, with your fingers, work it through the hair sections thoroughly. Don’t miss your sideburns. - Move on to the rest of your hair, working in sections so you can track where you are. Use clips. Use rubber bands. Use anything. Run out of clips. Find your binder clips from the office. So many sections. These chips don’t need a clip. How did you get so much hair? - Panic every time you drip dye on the sink. Wipe it up quickly. Put toothpaste on it if it left a mark. No, I’m not kidding. - Once you have fully colored your hair (probably with 8 full oz), slowly and painfully work the dye through every section of your hair. The thing is, this is important. It feels like overkill, but it is not. If you don’t do this, you’ll end up with weird and blotchy dye, and that isn’t good. You’re going for a nice, natural blue, just like you were born with. - Wonder again, “is this worth it?” Too late for this. Now you’re an hour into a six hour commitment. No turning back now. Also, yes, it’s worth it. Because you’re an icon. - Put your hair into a bun or two. Now, we are going to bake your head, and we’re going to use your own troubled thoughts as fuel. Did I forget to mention this is therapy? I meant to. - Find a shower cap. Put it over your weird, Medusa-themed mass. - Find a towel you don’t like. Perhaps the one you used last time. We’ll call him Mark. Mark and you are spending the day together. Wrap Mark around your shower-capped head with the tension of Mike Pence in the presence of a non-wife female. The point is to contain heat, like Mike Pence does, but perhaps less toxically (this is Arctic Fox, after all). - Some people like to add extra heat, but I find that my own bonnet of bees provides enough raw friction to sufficiently heat the situation. I should mention it is summer in Nevada. Our existence is the surface of the sun - I hang out with Mark in my head sauna for a minimum of FOUR HOURS, but usually more like six. I clean, I dance, I watch TV, I sort pens, I fold clothes. I write Amazon reviews. We all have hobbies right? - I don’t know your life, but if you can, sleep in it. - Rinse in a sink you don’t like (the laundry room sink is my go-to), USING YOUR RUBBER GLOVES, and use THE COLDEST WATER YOU CAN. People say we aren’t tough, but my dear, you and I are NAILS WITH NAILS. We bleed for days and don’t die… every month! No one is tougher than we are. Valkyries are our sisters. Cold water. Until it runs clear. Don’t miss your sideburns and behind your ears. - I usually am about to die at this point. I’m not gonna lie. It’s a process. It’s spiritual, it’s mental, and it’s physical. So I find Mark’s cousin Stacie and wrap her around my head and go to bed. You do you. If you have to shower (at this point, all that aquaphor has made you either so soft or so slimy), wear rubber gloves. You may dye your shower. I have no advice except toothpaste. (Someday, I’ll have to tell you about the time I stayed in a Berlin hotel and when I showered, my hair bled on their fancy porous tile. I got 10 tubes of toothpaste from Aldi and spent all night painfully smearing toothpaste on their light gray tile that looked like it was in a Smurf murder… But when I checked out, it was pristine and totally fine. looks like that someday was today) The color lasts about 3 - 6 weeks and fades quickly if you’re in the sun. Wash your hair as infrequently as you can. Pro tip: get matching fingernail polish because your fingernails might turn blue and blue fingernail polish makes that look intentional. If this seems like “a lot,” or “not possibly worth it,” you don’t understand how good this color is.

Highly recommend if you want semi-permanent
I dye my hair often and wanted to go ahead and use something without amonia that wouldnt dry out my hair so much, so I decided to use Demi-permanent hair dye on myself for the first time. It smells really good first of all, unlike permanent hair dye with the scent that burns pretty much every orfaces of your face. Super easy to use, colour is vibrant and almost completely washed out after a few shampoos. If you get any dark colour and use it over bleached/ lightened hair. You're cuticles will obviously still hold on to some of the colour but not much it just most likely won't get out completely back to let's sayyy....platinum blonde. "Artic fox" is one of the highest brands of semi-permanent hair dye out there so you really can't go wrong ordering this. It's great quality, fun thing to use if you want to keep switching colours often, (But don't dye too often and ruin your beautiful natural hair though.) Highly recommend if you're looking for Demi-permanents!!!

Very bad and expensive.
I used it for my daughter. The effect of blue color was only 10% on her hair..
