I (Don't) Like Snakes: Read and Wonder

I bought this book for the facility I work at, the information is fantastic although I disagree with the choice of using the word "poison" on page 21 though the author quickly moves to clarify that it's venom (but this is an argument that people have been having for ages so it doesn't much matter). The book however is incredible, it showcases all the great things about snakes in a fun and light-hearted manner. I love that the lead character is a little girl and that her family is really into snakes.A fun and educational book.

My grandson likes snakes. I want him to continue his interest in snakes. Maybe, as in the book, we can convince his brother to like snakes, too. The book is full of illustrations and facts about snakes. The format is great and I am interested in the other books.

Very cute book for a snake lover or for those who are not. It does go into detail about venom and fangs but not in a scary way (you can skip that part of the book if the person isn't ready to learn about that.)

Perfect book for teaching fiction and nonfiction text features! Can be used across grade levels. Children will be intrigued by this book. Made me want to look at more work by Nicola Davies.

Anything by Nicola Davies is high quality. I use this book in my 4th grade nonfiction reading and writing units as well as my opinion writing unit.

Fantastic fiction and non fiction book

Despite being a children's book, this is SUPER informative and educational. I have used this in many presentations with children and it's a great resource for teachers or wildlife educators. Highly recommend for anyone who likes reptiles/snakes.
